Babyliss Big Hair... What size?

I just thought there was one, but there are two sizes!

I think i want the big one but please tell me...

A) how long is your hair?
B) what size is your BBH?

After reading all the hoo haw on here I went and bought one on NYE so I'm very much a beginner. Am finding it a bit faffy but - oh my - I now can leave my house with hair that actually resembles a style rather than the unkempt frizzy mop that it normally is. I got the bigger one and my hair is very very curly and shoulder length.

Ooh random, your hair sounds like mine, i will check Boots tomorrow, do you think DH will want one for his birthday? (Friday)

I adore my BBH. It has changed my life.

I have very thick, coarse, dry hair. When left to dry naturally, it ends up like hay. Never silky and floppy. For example, if you were to take a small handful and pull it between two fingers, it wouldn't flip down, it would stick out straight like hay. In other words, horrible hair.

My BBH has changed everything. I now have nice, smooth, swishy, styled hair.

I will state, however, that I am on my third one...! I don't use it every day - probably every 2-3 days, i.e. as often as I wash it (when your hair's as dry as mine, every day washing is a no go).

My first 2 BBHs lasted aout 18 months each before burning out. In all honesty, I think that's pretty crap, especially as I don't use it every day. However, given its life-changing qualities, I have automatically replaced it each time.

I'm in NZ and we can't seem to get them here. I had to have my brother send me one from London when the last one went kaput. Had to, you understand, as life without my BBH is inconceivable. He then got off the plane at Christmas time, and presented me with another one, for when this one inevitably burns out.

I don't care that they're not exactly brilliant made, only have an 18-month life span, and are probably massively over-priced. They're indispensable, a far as I'm concerned.

Oh, and I'm on a 42 at the moment (previous two were 50s) - I think the bigger one is actually better, even though I only have a short bob. Purely because my hair is so coarse/wiry.

I have the bigger one. Hair is slightly layered and just touches shoulders. It is v v v fine now . The styler works brilliantly, as long as I use a good styling product with it. I have some Redken volumising paste - use a tiny blob on damp hair, then the styler. I work in sections, so underneath first, then top layers of hair. It's quick to use (prob cos my hair is so fine). It gives my hair shine because I'm obviously getting the hair cuticles to lie flat. That, as well as volume is grrrreat!! It takes a little getting used to, but you soon work out how to avoid tangles etc. I also have GHD straighteners which make my hair very shiny looking, but very flat and if course the intensity of the heat from them wrecks my hair generally so I don't use them anymore.

My hair is below shoulder length and have the larger one as only that one was out at the time. Love it! I do the reverse action and then the blow under and my hair looks the closest to a professional blow dry for my abilities. I use it when my hair is about 80-90% dry.

I have jaw length hair and had the smaller one and sold it. The bristles were way too soft for my coarse curly hair, so I didn't get any tension in the brush to be able to smooth my hair. I get better results with a hair dryer and a big round brush. I think it works better on normal/ fine hair.

I do my hair in sections, and don't find it a problem in my coarse, wiry hair.

My hair is just below shoulder length & I got the 50 one it was on offer in asda for £28 bargain as boots was £44.99.

I was sucked in, i just used it, its fricking amazing!

Does it work on fine, flyaway, shoulder-length hair?

Yes, mine is naturally curly, very fine and frizzy but i have a bloody lot of it, making my hair appear thicker than it is, it is a miracle!

I gave mine to my mum as I couldn't get on with it.

My hair is just beyond my shoulders now and I am having great results with sock bunning my hair and then blasting it with the hairdryer in the morning

I'd convinced myself it wouldn't do anything for my curly hair but am now tempted again, could it be the making of a new more groomed me?

I got the big one, my hair is naturally very very curly, i straighten it most of the time, i am really impressed.

Regardless if how big and bouncy my hair is, and how smooth and shiny it is without straighteners, it is so much easier to use than a hairdryer and brush. No more arm ache!

(i might just skim over the top layer to smooth out the last few flyaways but i think that is just until i get the hang of it)

I was an early convert and am already on my second. I did flirt with the smaller one when the first went boom (after about 2 years maybe) but am glad I ordered the bigger.

I have shoulder length wavy hair, but not all the same wave wavy. The fringe goes curlier and the back is straighter. It also tends towards frizziness.

I often leave my hair to air dry, then spray some heat protector on it and whizz quickly with the BBH. I never use from wet to dry.

I had the big one for 2 yrs and was happy with it.

My hair is just above shoulder.

Got the smaller one a month ago and like it even more.

Reporting back to say that I picked up a 42mm BBH on ebay and my goodness it works

Has made my curly jaw length hair look like I've stepped out of the salon possibly styled by the 16yo saturday apprentice but it was my 1st attempt

It has certainly straightened and styled my hair with minimal skill . coordination involved and I had many comments today about the glossy appearance of my hair.

Not sure how often I'll use it as I do think my curly style suits me better but it brings some hairstyling options which I didn't have before
