Not great reductions though

OP posts:
Bumblebzz · 07/01/2014 10:01

ooh 12% is very good, thanks.

I'd be interested to hear what the ponchos are like, they look lovely online but then everything always does ;-)

CambridgeBlue · 07/01/2014 10:32

I'm crossing my fingers they'll reduce some more in a week or so, I seem to remember they did last year. I love their style but they've got really expensive this year and in my experience the quality doesn't always justify the price.

Bumblebzz · 07/01/2014 11:06

They definitely did last year - see email from around 23rd Jan 2013 and apologies for formatting.
Of course, you run this risk of the item you love being out of stock..

Knew there would be a thread on this. I wanted the charlene dress to be reduced but they have only reduced the blue not the grey :(

Tbh thought the reductions would be better...considering the ruched skirt though.

plentyofsoap · 07/01/2014 12:14

I waa not able to use the mumsnet code either.

ElizabethBathory · 07/01/2014 12:32

I'm guessing the MN code was just for 2013 given that it was mums13. I bet they don't make a new one until the sale's over. I don't like ordering stuff unless it's free delivery/returns - even sale stuff! It just feels wrong... Am going to wait and see if there are more reductions. I want the slim fit joggers but they're not reduced.

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/01/2014 15:49

Does anyone have the sloppy joe dress? Only thing Im considering but it looks quite short, suppose it would look ok with leggings.

MrsMcGregor · 07/01/2014 15:53

I ordered a few things last week on the 20% off code and am glad I did. Two things (the a-line skirt and waffle knit shawl/scarf) aren't reduced in the sale, the other (Padstow jumper) would be £8 cheaper in the sale but I'm about £14 better off with the 20% so happy enough. Love, love, love what I got but not sure whether I can justify the skirt at £50-something - don't know tht I'll wear it enough.

Mrsdp123 · 07/01/2014 16:40

I have the Sloppy Joe and am 5'10" so it it is fine with leggings but it just about covers my bum length wise - so not a dress IMO, although I've seen people out and about in shorter...
Also I had forgotten how incredibly unhelpful and disinterested Hush are when you need to speak to them....I had problems with the summer sale and them saying they had despatched items which they then said were out of stock and chasing that up and going around in circles...The same has just happened again. Their stock answer is always "It's the sale, we're busy..."..

Madamecastafiore · 07/01/2014 17:30

Aw see I've always found them helpful and courteous.

Needed some henleys as breastfeeding tops and none in far just had baby size so rang up and they were lovely. Found me some and dispatched free of charge.

Apatite1 · 07/01/2014 17:36

I caved and ordered a few things. Got average £30 off each item, it'll do me.

picklesrule · 07/01/2014 23:45

Does anyone hve the poncho already? Does it come up very large? Sometimes find hush stuff is huge (am a UK 6-8) want to order it but not going to be back in UK for a month so wouldn't be able to send back!!

Hopasholic · 07/01/2014 23:58

I'll let you have an update as soon as I receive it pickles if that's any good? Hoping DH won't be working from home the day they deliver so I can pull 'this old thing' out! It's all S&B's fault, had never heard of Hush/Boden/uniqlo/Cos until I came on here. Grin although my user name may give away my penchant for shopping whilst driving the web under the influence of Wine

MakeTeaNotWar · 08/01/2014 09:20

My poncho is due tomorrow so I'll feedback too as I was also wondering how large it would be....

OP posts:
picklesrule · 09/01/2014 03:35

Thanks ladies haha love the this old thing line I use it ALL the time.. Dh is totally Unobservant though so can never quite be sure if it's true Grin

plentyofsoap · 10/01/2014 12:41

They have further reductions now on line. Got the twist tunic for 15 which I 'm happy with.

Hopasholic · 10/01/2014 13:44

Picked up my poncho and the Rosie dress today. thanks royal mail as I was actually in yesterday when you shoved the card through

It's big. Very big, but because it has fitted arms, it would just look like a normal jumper if it was any more slimline. I've got it on at the moment over a uniqlo heat tech top and a wool jumper and I think I like it despite its hugeness. It's cosy and soft but the jury's out while I contemplate Smile

I've not tried the Rosie dress on yet, it's very creased! The skirt bit looks rather flimsy?

MakeTeaNotWar · 12/01/2014 06:32

Hate the poncho - going back!

OP posts:
Jagsy · 12/01/2014 14:31

Oh no missed the first day of sale. Really wanted the drop waist jersey dress and now out of stock :(

plentyofsoap · 12/01/2014 16:08

Got the long vest yesterday and its not long at all and I am quite short?!

ToastedTeacakes · 12/01/2014 16:20

Only just discovered this store, but I often dress in a similar style - did a spot of googling regarding quality and it seems few are impressed. Gorgeous marketing though, the imagery is lovely, I even like the blog.

I'm sat here in my own version of the ruched mini skirt, opaques, grey cashmere jumper and black scarf.

Might buy a wooly bonnet!

ToastedTeacakes · 12/01/2014 16:24

Yes yes, I love this aesthetic, it reminds me of Swedish, Danish design, the colour palette, muted, almost anaemic...etc. would suit those interiors, me sat there in my hush pj's with a cup of Nescafé mocha, my black kitty twirling around my ankles makes for a sweet dash of contrast, ooh! Haha.

Diagonally · 12/01/2014 21:58

I can't afford Hush prices atm but have found you can do the same style for much less from Matalan. They do the long vests and their basic, very soft, v-neck jumpers with lovely long arms with button cuffs are a tenner.

They are my winter wardrobe staples with leggings, and various different scarves, snoods etc
