I'm looking for a miracle Grin

I'm 5ft 1 and a size 10 but kind of blobby. I want to look amazing when I go to Hawaii in a few weeks' time. I was wondering if Miraclesuit costumes are good? But I'd also like a bikini (this is the miracle I'm looking for!)....my boobs are kind of empty after having kids and my tummy is not good - but am planning on attempting to improve it with some hardcore exercise. Maybe a 50s style with high pants? Where would anyone suggest looking?

Budget is not really an issue - am willing to pay to hopefully look and feel fabulous!

I have swimwear issues due to big boobs and I found that looking for swimwear made by lingerie manufacturers opened up a big world of flattering swimwear choice. I now splash around care free in a Freya tankini.

I bought a fantastic bikini last year from Hoola. Pricey but worth it.

DerbyNottsLeicsNightNanny · 06/01/2014 16:47

I got this www.figleaves.com/uk/product/LL-122760/Lepel-Capri-Twisted-Padded-Moulded-Bikini-Top/?size=&colour=Blues top last week, it is pretty good. Bottoms were out of stock when I ordered but will be arriving tomorrow & I am hopeful they will be OK.

I am size 10/12, 3.5months post-baby, still have 10lbs to lose so figure not too bad but not brill.

Top is quite flattering on my empty smallish boobs!

(got it in the red which is a lovely colour and not at all bay-watchy)

rashvest and boardshorts are a good look - choose the shorts length for what suits.

keeps the sun off too as obviously you need to do that in Hawaii.

enjoy!

I like the look if that Hoola website but I'd really rather go to a shop and try on. Maybe I deluding myself that that's possible and should just order a load of stuff.
To be honest, I'm looking for sexy and sophisticated so the rash vest idea isn't what I had in mind Wink

I know what you mean with on-line orders as it's a faff having to return stuff but I do like trying stuff on at home rather than getting all hot and bothered in a over heated fitting room!

TSSDNCOP · 06/01/2014 19:00

I invested in Freya bikinis summer 2012, after I was fitted with Freya bras.

Never looked back. They have a really good sale too.

As with many things you get what you pay for: in this case great fit, lovely designs, shape held even on kid-active holiday, wash up really well and retain colour.

Seafolly goddess bikini - john lewis usually stock.
So good I went back and bought a second, and I've hardly ever been brave enough to wear bikinis before.

Eastpoint · 06/01/2014 22:11

Eres bikinis are fab - v expensive but supportive & they come in different styles/colours so you can have the top which suits you in the right size & the appropriate bottom.

I bought Moontide twist one piece last year (cost £50 or £60) and it is very flattering - the shop owner said she was selling so many that she had to keep re-ordering. It has a slightly retro feel to it, but till looks current.

If you're looking for a '50's bikini, you might be interested in this www.surfdome.com/moontide_bikini_tops_-moontide_bow_belle_halter_bikini_top-_mocha-125034 I've ordered it and am hoping it looks as good as the Twist.

Finally, I bought this whatiwore.tumblr.com/tagged/swimsuit in last year's summer sales (it has a detachable halter strap).

I would recommend Lepel as well; they are nicely cut and flattering. I find Boden bikinis are good too for a fifties style and you can mix match knickers, shorts etc with the bra tops and tankinis

dottyaboutstripes · 07/01/2014 11:32

OK, I'm going to have a good trawl online. I do like that Moontide one piece. I have a Moontide bikini but it's not great, I think because it's a size 10 rather than bra sizing. Maybe Bravissimo/House of Fraser might have some I can try on in store - it's just that online is so hit & miss with sizing, especially for stuff like bras & bikinis.
Thanks all
