Babyliss Big Hair - any good for fine/thin short hair?

Am thinking of getting one for my (very annoying) chin length, fine, thin, flyaway hair. It would be the 42mm barrel.
Has anyone used this for similar hair? Would it be a good investment?

TIA

Everyone raves about them but I can't get on with it for my fine, thin shoulder length hair. It seems to make my hair really wispy and look even thinner. It could be my cack-handed ness though

I have fine, thin hair in a bob and I love mine. It takes a while to master it.

Yes, I only realised recently that you need to spend a bit of time on each section and give it a real going over. My hair is not fine but the weight of it pulls an bounce out quite quickly, BBH keeps it in longer and makes it turn under and not just stick there.

Yes my hairs fine its brilliant....especially for doing the back.

My DD used her friends over Christmas and has decided she wants one but her friend has told her to get maximum effect she must also use good hair products also : full volume shampoo/conditioner/mousse etc.

Thanks all. I'm a recent convert to product as thought it weighed my hair down, but I've realised it gives texture. I use volume spray/volumising mousse and extreme hold hairspray, so hopefully that would help the style stay put.
