Make up bag needs filling.....

Right with the help on here I've virtually sorted out my skin issues but I'm having major problems with make up and need to start all over again with a little spending spree.....

I had been using Bare Minerals. Used to look great on me, now looks awful. It seems to go into my lines and make me look older. Switched to loreal bb cream. That worked for a while but it looks too heavy now. It was great when my skin wasn't good, but now it's virtually blemish free I don't need the coverage.

So I need something that can conceal the odd bit and basically make me look 10 years younger in a good radiant way. I've looked at smashbox, nars, Bobbi brown but they are all too expensive if they aren't right. I'm also terrified of making my skin bad again as it's prone to flare ups. I'm pale and freckly so it needs to suit that.

Blusher type thing. I need something to pep me up a bit.

Eyes. I'm okay with my Mua eyeshadow and brow kit but would love a mascara that doesn't end up under my eyes halfway through the day.

Lips. Something that stays put and looks natural. Not plumping because my lips are full enough.

I'm hitting a "big birthday" this year so I need to get my look together after years of never quite getting it right!

I am 53 and have been using the Clinique tinted moisteriser which is very good...radiant and they do a very pale one.
The cc cream is excellent too.

Clinique waterproof volume mascara doesn't move.

It sounds like you just need a tinted moisturiser. You could 'dilute' the bb cream with moisturiser too. I sometimes mix mine with my loriel primer.

Definitely get some samples from the counters in selfridges or boots. I'd get a pack of those tiny plastic travel pots from superdrug and go sample gathering. I find they fawn over you more if you say you (or your daughter) are getting married and are looking for the perfect foundation. When they offer to put it on for you just say you want to try it at home in different lights.

I've been recommended (which I was happy about as I wanted it originally) Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation, which should be here in a couple of days.

It gives a light coverage that evens out skin tone, covers minor embellishing and lets freckles show through and gives a natural, healthy, radiant glow.

Apparently, haven't tried it yet lol but it has fab reviews!

May be worth going to a counter and trying it

Collection (2000) concealer is your best friend.
I don't even really need foundation if i use it.
I also recommend soap & glory's primer & foundation. Not expensive and decent light- medium coverage.
I've tried so many foundations over the years and this one doesn't dry out my skin or go cakey.

For mascara i recommend boujois clubbing mascara or l'oreal voluminous. I also quite liked benefit 'they're real' mascara but its too pricey for my budget.
I really like revlon baby stick cream blusher. You can use it on lips too.

I keep hearing good things about collection 2000 concealer,is it really that good?I'm tempted to try it and have a boots gift card..
