Do boots like this exist?

As warm as uggs, preferably waterproof (or able to be sprayed with stuff to make them so), comfortable enough for walking round all day but nicer looking than actual walking boots?

Have just spent the day at the zoo in uggs...my always-cold feet were toasty warm but now my feet are killing me from the lack of support.

Any suggestions please? Smile

Sorry can't do links on my phone. I have Timerland Mount Holly boots which sound exactly what you're looking for. I got them last year and are still as good as new so worth the money. My friend got a pair 3 winters ago and hers are still going strong Grin I love them and they are totally waterproof

piratecat · 28/12/2013 20:26

those Timberland Nellie ones are lovely.

Binkybix · 28/12/2013 21:00

blame it on the bogey I'm very interested in the boots you linked to. A few reviews have said they find the calves wide - what do you think? I really struggle with boots and can't face returning another pair!

BikeRunSki · 28/12/2013 21:06

The forum alerted me to Duckfeet boots. I have a pair of the ROskilde Chelsea boots, and really want a pair of the sheepskin lined ones .

Wenchelda · 28/12/2013 21:14

I love the timberland Nellie ones, though a bit more than I can really afford. The rieker ones are quite nice too - better price, but out of stock in my size.

I'm not too keen on the national sugar boots - too many buckles for my liking and no furry/sheepskin lining which I really want although I am tempted simply because they have so many reviews saying how comfortable they are!

The duck feet website looks interesting so going to have a proper nosey at what they have.

Still checking the other suggestions... Thank you all Smile

I have the Fly London Sarv Boots and they are bloody amazing.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 28/12/2013 21:35

Worth looking around for the nellies. I'm sure they are cheaper elsewhere.

Dancingqueen- I like the cushe ones you've linked too (and more my budget too) ... What colour do you have? It's a tan sort of colour I'm looking for but these ones look quite orange in the pictures.

I LOVE the Cat mardy/Anna ones but out of my price range unfortunately Hmm

Welligogs.
Warm, properly waterproof, good grippy soles for snow/ice (tested mine through a Danish winter), look good and around £80.

Wenchelda · 28/12/2013 22:58

Thanks Dancingqueen - I might order them ... Are they true to size, would you say? I'm normally a 5. Also is the cuff bit stitched down or can you fold it up to make the boots taller?

Binkybix I have the thinest calfs in the world. It's true that they are quite wide so if you were to try them on in the shop with just e.g. tights on they would feel wide. I find though that once I have on warm socks, they leave just the perfect amount of room to e.g. tuck in a pair of jeans. If I am wearing them with a skirt, I wear tights and socks to add a bit of bulk. Even despite thin calfs, I don't find the width of the boots a problem at all.

Amazon cheapest for Cat Anna though it's worth looking in EBay if you don't mind 'used' (they are so hardy they are usually in excellent condition; some because people end up with the wrong size) I'm a 6 and wear a 6 and have room for snugly socks (but they're fine with normal ones too!)

Binkybix · 29/12/2013 09:23

Thanks bogey. Sorry - one more question. Would you say they come up big or small? I tend to be between a 5 and 6, which is another source if returns!

Ugg noira ..
Comfy , warm and waterproof .. I have just bought my second pair !

higgle · 30/12/2013 08:22

how about a pair of Morlands ? I don't know why they aren't promoted as much as they used to be, my mother always wore them when I was a child and has a pair she bought in the 6o's that she intends to leave to me when she dies! I had a pari a few years back and they; were so comfy and lasted for ages.

20secondstocomply · 31/12/2013 20:01

I had the Kensington Uggs, bought as I thought they would be waterproof as they are leather, and they were not waterproof at all.

bishboschone · 31/12/2013 20:34

Noira defiantly are . They even say it on the ugg label at the back .

eshermummy · 31/12/2013 22:21

I have ugg belle vue or belview (have seen them referred to under both spellings). Definitely waterproof and with thick proper boot tread although may not be available anymore as a few years old now.

Theonlyoneiknow · 01/01/2014 01:03

Just marking place as I am after some boots! I have a pair of grey suede national sugars but looking for a black or brown pair
