how do I get big curls at the ends of my hair??

Probably explaining this badly but...

Had my hair cut recently, it's a few inches below shoulder length now. Anyway I always have it in (natural) ringlet-y curls, but the hairdresser said 'shall I blowdry it so you get big bouncy curls'. I said yes and paid no attention while she was doing it (cos I thought it'd look rubbish) but it looked brilliant - and I've spent the last 2 weeks trying to do it myself.

I can get it straightish and some curl at the ends using a big round brush, but not as big or bouncy. And I can't get any root lift. It's driving me mad! (Esp as not used to spending any time on my hair normally!)

Someone will be along in a mo to recommend Babyliss big hair methinks.......

Ah! I've always been scared of a Babyliss Big Hair as mine is so easily tangled, had visions of it getting pulled out!

But maybe it's worth considering?...(Provided it won't pull all my hair out of course!)

Ooh yes, I know exactly what you mean! I've purchased the BBH for this very purpose but although I've wielded it a few times I think I'm lacking technique... Hmm
So I'll just be quietly loitering in case there are any helpful tips floating about!!

Pop a few big heated rollers in the ends of dry hair .
Leave an hour

Remove carefully tip head upside down -tiniest amount of Moroccan or similar hair oil ...good to go.

I've just bought the tresemme hot air styler that's fab! It doesn't rotate so less chance of getting tangled (and it's cheaper).

BBH is your friend. I have naturally curly hair and I can create lovely bouncy curls with this. I often get asked if I've just been to the hairdressers.
If you buy one, practice using it on dry hair and only use it on the 2nd setting until you get used to it. After drying each section I then twist it with my fingers to hold the curl before moving onto the next section. Work better with a bit of serum and some heat protection spray before hand.

Heating ceramic rollers work well too but I use the BBH more often.

Velcro rollers, pop them into almost dry hair, blast with hot air, leave to cool so the curls set.
