I need a hair product, but I haven't a clue what.

My hair is shoulder length, thick and wavy. It's in pretty good condition. I often just wrap it in a towel and let it dry wavy. But if I want to blow dry it and shiny and swishy, what woild be a good product? It needs something but I've had a few disappointing experiments in the past with products that either feel too sticky or that feel too heavy and greasy (even if I only use a tiny amount).

The top of my budget would be about £10 but the cheaper the better!

Can anyone recommend anything?

Argan oil is what you want, I have v similar hair and it works wonders.

treaclesoda · 22/12/2013 14:52

ooh...I've got some of that. Well, its an oil blend containing argan, but it's definitely all oil, no silicone in the ingredients. It said you could use it on skin or hair but didn't actually say what to do with it, so it has sat unopened whilst I work out what to do with it.

So what do I do with it? Grin A few drops on the ends of damp hair?

I use frizz ease 3 day straight stuff on my slightly wavey hair - just makes it calmer if that makes sense, stops it going fluffy whether wavy or straightened.

I use Tigi Bed Head Control Freak 3 which is a straightener and frizz control. I have thick wavy coarse hair and I only need to use the tiniest bit of this.

I use Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique Blow out Balm on my thick wavy hair - only need a tiny bit and I just put it on hands and run them through hair

Label m leave in conditioner - not cheap but I find it really good for taming frizz and increasing swish. I got a huge (1l) vat for £16 online.

with argan oil, wait until your hair is damp, not wet. pour an amount to cover less than a penny on your hand, rub between palms. Run through hair from beneath, not on top.

most hair products do nothing but this one actually works.

10ml is a shocking £6 or so but lasts ages.

Kiehl's Heat Protective Silk Straightening Cream - fantastic stuff! £15 I'm afraid, but lasts quite a long time and is very good.

Argan oil is brilliant and a little goes a long way. But £6 for 10ml is very expensive. I've bought this in the past. It's a good product which I use for hair, face and hands.
