Face cream, foundation, concealer around the eyes, mascara, blusher. Face cream, foundation, concealer around the eyes, mascara, blusher.
Repeat every day.

Get a good hairdryer. I recommend Parlux. After washing your hair, wrap it in one of those microfibre turbans whilst you get dressed, have breakfast, etc. Then, apply a little volumising mousse to the roots and a little oil (e.g. kerastase) only to the ends. Blow dry with your head down until it is 90% dry whilst gently brushing with a paddle brush. With a Parlux, this should take no more than 5 or 6 minutes. Then put your head back up and pay some attention to your ends as they might need straightening and smoothing, I also use the paddle brush for this, and that's it really. With a Parlux I don't even need to section my hair to blow dry it. well, this works for me anyway.Xmas Wink
My hair looks like dishrags if let to dry naturally.

Depends on what kind of hair you have. Mine's really healthy and reasonably full (thin but a lot of it) so I wash, deep condition, towel wrap for about 15 minutes, blow dry in no fancy way really, but with a brush, takes about 3 or 4 minutes. I then pop hot curlers in for a few minutes and once I take them out hair is pretty much ready to do it's thing. I get a lot of compliments. I think it's because I'm working with a natural wave. Maybe find out what your hair wants to do? But yes definitely must blow dry!

... and I don't use products, they weight my hair down and make it greasy.

IDugUpADiamond · 20/12/2013 20:39

life so what products do you use and doesn't your hair go frizzy when you get out?

Depends totally on your hair, but yes to a Parlux hair dryer. I have a vent brush I use to smooth hair down in sections whilst drying, basically pointing hair dryer down the hair shaft and brushing it constantly makes it shiny. I have a big barrel brush I use to finish it off and curl the ends a bit. Takes under ten mins and I wash it every 3rd day. No styling products, but I use a shampoo and conditioner then also Aussie leave in conditioning spray.

Makeup wise - get yourself a nice light foundation and a face cream and a natural lipgloss - you probably wouldn't go wrong with Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, use a tiny bit, much less than you'd think. Face cream - try Boots No7, they have various for different skin types, I like the Beautiful Skin range for very dry skin. Leave moisturiser to soak in for 5 mins before applying foundation with fingers in front of a mirror. Whack lipgloss or lippy on regularly - try Rimmel lipgloss in Snog for a lovely natural, or try the Revlon lip butters.

It does make the difference, having put in a bit of effort with hair and makeup. It's pretty much what makes women look different to men IMO

I blow dry with a straightening brush upside down, finish off a bit with a round brush, does the job for me, and use vitapointe on the ends.

Otherwise... where do I start?
I use a facial brush to cleanse with dove non perfumed soap, oil of olay complete care and jojoba oil, concealer round nose and chin, max factor creme puff powder with a buffing brush, blusher, eyelashes and eyebrows regularly dyed (only use mascara if out for the night), eyelashes curled, job done.

At night, Avene triacneal as am spot prone and it is anti-ageing too, and atrixo on my neck.

HTH!

This has helped me too! Am pretty clueless and after having my son I definitely can't go out without make up or I look like something off the walking dead.....but with bigger dark circles under my eyes...
