That's it really.

I had a new hairdresser and she used a purple shampoo on my freshly done highlights to 'turn down the brassiness' and now it looks a dull grey!!

Will it wash out?? I am gutted.

Yes. If you don't like the cool tones you can use a wash in/wash out golden tone. The shampoo will just wash out though.

Yes, it'll wash out, can you try a clarifying shampoo like Nutrogena?

featherdown · 19/12/2013 11:22

Thanks Buzzard. Where can I get one of those?

Superdrug do them.

Thanks Ann. I will try a clarifying shampoo. Its good to know it will wash out, it looks terrible at the moment.

Obviously don't go for the 'cool' blonde one in the link but a warm or golden blonde will do it.

Anti-dandruff shampoos are the best for washing out hair colours btw.

AnnBryce · 19/12/2013 11:55

Yes, it can grab the colour rather and end up very ashy/purple/dull. Use correctly they're great but it sounds like your hairdresser left it on on for ages.
