bit fat, bit saggy and a bit knackered looking - but any suggestions for something nice to wear for Christmas?

We're having a big family Christmas and I would like something nice to wear which make me look human. I have a 5 month old baby which is why I'm fat, saggy and knackered - any suggestions?

Still breastfeeding so need something with relatively easy boob access.

Thinking jeans and some sort of top. Are sparkles or sequins tragic??

I've got brown hair, green eyes and am probably a size 18 at least now. My weight is mostly round my tummy and I'm 5"4'.

Help!

MostlyCake - some of those Mint Velvet tops are gorgeous!

MostlyCake · 20/12/2013 08:40

That dress is nice katatonic! Thanks.

I went on Asos curve range yesterday and have ordered two tops, will probably stick to my jeans as I am hoing on a diet comew new year and don't want ro spend loads on something which hopefully won't fit for too long!

Aaaaah! The two tops from Asos are terrible!! Despite measuring and going on their size guide both are too big. One is see through (didn't look like that online) and the second is something Bet Lynch from Corrie would wear :-(

Back to the drawing board.

I'm going to panic buy something from asda tomorrow I think. Will have my son in a sling so won't be able to try anything on....why do I think this isn't going to be successful...?!

You can buy online from John Lewis today and collect from any JL or Waitrose tomorrow if that helps?
east
print
butterflies
white stuff
These are nice but have a browse.

TBH at this point there is a danger shopping and stressing will make you feel worse than wearing something you already own. I'd consider wearing a plain top or shirt you already have and adding a necklace or scarf to christmas it up?

ConstantlyCooking · 23/12/2013 09:24

Why not wear something you already have and buy a really lovely scarf that you can still wear when you have lost the baby weight? Also you can take off the scarf when winding in case of vomit!

Try Phase Eight of Frugi for breastfeeding friendly tops. If you could find something with ruching will be very forgiving : ). Enjoy!
