Mum coats

Are those knee length padded coats with hoods now seen as the new coat version of the mum-boot? I just bought one this year as I completely froze when standing watching the ds playing rugby on winter mornings but now I feel a bit mumsy wearing it.

Pretty much everyone wears one at my dd's club, dads included. I wouldn't worry about feeling mumsy and just be glad you are nice and warm!

It is very cosy!

I believe they are termed 'mum coats'

Hence the title of the thread TripTrap!!

I have a much reduced Skiing jacket (it's really warm), it's not stylish and I certainly can't ski (I tried once, aged 13 and hit a lot of trees).

I don't care, it's warm and living somewhere where I have to drive everywhere, better than a long coat.

I have a Lands End Maxi Chalet coat
I don't care if i am mumsy I luff it!

Probably, but that's because most mum's aren't stupid and quite like being warm and dry.
