what would you spend it on?

A session of microdermabrasion. I had 6 of these last year followed by 6 heal and peels and my skin looked amazing

SorrelForbes · 13/12/2013 21:04

Chemical peel (might be slightly over budget)

NotJustACigar · 13/12/2013 21:12

Chemical peel from Bravura and do it at home - and would still have plenty left to buy makeup, too!

Karbea · 13/12/2013 21:24

In what way do you want to make it look better?

SavingMyselfForLukePerry · 13/12/2013 21:36

Chemical peel has always scared the bejesus out of me, probably just because of the words 'chemical' and 'peel', but will investigate further, thanks. Karbea, just want to spend my money wisely to make myself look a bit fresher I suppose. I'm in my 30s, always have dark circles and my skin just looks a bit dull and uneven. Wondering if its better to invest in skincare, make up or a 'procedure'.

Id buy a bloomingdales brown bag to put over my head Grin

Kikibee · 13/12/2013 21:37

Paper bag?

Kikibee · 13/12/2013 21:38

Xpost monkey :)

sarahandduck · 13/12/2013 21:41

Bravura products are amazing and you don't necessarily need a chemical peel. I use the foaming cleanser, the serum and at night the 10% glycolic cream and my skin is fab. In fact, I didn't realise how good the products were until I ran out and didn't use them for a while.

somersethouse · 13/12/2013 21:42

YSL 'forever young' youth serum. It is a miracle in a bottle! Promise.
You'll get maybe 2 months supply for that. Google it, it has won every award under the sun but is bloody expensive.

Really is fantastic though and within a week you will see an incredible difference. Makes you look like you have had a wonderful nights sleep, even skin, gets rid of sunspots etc. It is my one beauty indulgence.

SavingMyselfForLukePerry · 13/12/2013 21:44

DP suggested paper bag option too, helpfully. Bit more appealing than having my skin peeled off to be honest.

I wouldn't have thought you need a procedure in your 30s. Do you exfoliate? If not that might help with the dull/uneven ess, I can't recommend clarins exfoliating toner enough, it's really helped my skin.

Helpyourself · 13/12/2013 22:00

£3 on eyebrow shape and possibly tint if you don't have to go out for a few days- £5.
Garner blur primer about £10
Leaves £30+ for a foundation.

travailtotravel · 13/12/2013 22:54

product is good but the single biggest things that make me less tired and old are drinking loads and eating enough fruit and veg, citrus fruit in particular ....

A lash serum, or a night in a hotel for a good night's sleep!

Sexykitten2005 · 13/12/2013 23:38

I've just bought some bravura hope it work for me!

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 13/12/2013 23:38

I'd buy some spangly make up and trowel it on.

legoplayingmumsunite · 13/12/2013 23:38

A haircut.

MrsBennetsEldest · 13/12/2013 23:40

2 bottles of gin, everyone looks amazing then. :)

Jackthebodiless · 13/12/2013 23:40

Clarins beauty flash balm. Also witchcraft.

AnUnearthlyChild · 13/12/2013 23:42

Something fun. Because someone who looks happy, looks more beautiful.

Dumpylump · 13/12/2013 23:45

Well.....it's actually £68 Shock but I'd buy Dermalogica Daily Resurfacer. It's fab for exfoliating, brightening and smoothing the skin on your face, and you get 30 individual treatments.
The Dermalogica consultant told me that actually you can use it every other day, so then it lasts for 2 months and doesn't seem quite so eye wateringly expensive.
I do really rate the results though Smile

TheCrackFox · 13/12/2013 23:56

Lots of candles and have the electricity cut off at the mains.

Walnut8 · 14/12/2013 01:27

Grin to the gin!

This has been amazing for me: [http://www.janmarini.com/us/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=15]

Contains glycolic acid to resurface, salicylic acid to keep your skin clear and azaleic acid (think this is good for rosacea).

That would be my one product rec to look better if you dont want to go the whole professional chemical peel.

That or a haircut and blowdry.
