I'd like natural-ish colours, maybe in a kit/palette, for between £15-20.

Any ideas?

Sorry for perfunctory post, doing kids dinner time!

Would like to get a range of stuff for that price, not just 1 mascara!

Thank youThanks

Superdrug has two ranges, Sleek and MUA that are very good and good prices.

Boots, super drug, body shop?

Asos have some nice sets... They mainly sell clothes etc but they have a beauty section and some things on sale. When I looked the other day they had a winter collection from pixi that was reduced from 20 to 15.

I had trouble finding a palette for under £30 when I looked for my older dds.

I really like Bobby Brown make up for teenagers. They do a teenage makeover(that is age appropriate). The cost is refundable against any products bought. So we bought sparkly lip gloss and eyeliner.Though Its easy to copy the look with some budget cosmetics as well.

I've just bought a Benefit kit for my much younger cousin - she's 13 - going on 14. I love buying her stuff Grin

The Benefit kit is really nice for very young women I think because the packaging is quite young and colourful, but the make-up is still decent. I use some of their products myself and I like them.

The kit I got had about three fairly neutral eyeshadows, a mini of They're Real mascara, a coral, peachy coloured blusher, and a bottle of Benetint which can be used on lips and cheeks. Plus a tube of pore minimising refiner. The colours are pretty and subtle - perfect for playing around and experimenting with.

It was thirty quid though - a little out of your stated budget, but it's lovely.

Boots stock a huge range of make up to suit every pocket.

Thank you so much. Some great ideas. I spent hours browsing online last night!

42 and powerhoop - those were great suggestions. I ended up going into super drug today as so much was sold out online. They had some amazing value gift sets and I managed to get a really lovely selection of makeup for about £23. I am going to look like such a cool aunt!

Fairy lea - thanks for the info. I had a look but I think the price had gone back up and I decided that I needed to see it in RL as I was dithering about colours

Lottie - try super drug! Great value stuff at the moment!

Teta - I love BB for myself but sadly I don't live near the girl and there isn't any BB near her. It is a great idea maybe for a year or so on though, thanks

Fuckit - I had a look but she wouldn't have used the primer and i think it would have been wasted. I think at the moment it is about experimenting and possibly that calls for cheap and cheerful!

Bunbaker - I started there thinking it would be the answer but they didn't seem to have many palettes and I'm not good enough with colours to guess one or two as being "right". I wanted to present her with a selection to cover myself!

Thank you all so much. It was really nice to shop for a girl for a change and made much more pleasant by being pointed in the right direction.
