just spent (ridiculous) amount of money on miracle swimsuit (cant do links but you can see them on figleaves website). was not prepared to beleive would actually be more flattering than usual black costume.... BUT I WAS WRONG. it is black lovely material / underwired / drapey bit that covers saggy tummy in subtle flattering way / proper bottom that covers whole of area.... am v impressed (and poor)

Just to let you know that you get 11% cash back through quidco.co.uk when buying from figleaves. Definitely worth it if you're spending a lot of money

ja9 · 18/07/2006 23:08

£105

[shock}

once revived from the shock i could see that is a major investment and worth it of boosts confidence.

but still

enjoy spa day controlfreak, hope you feel fab

chipkid · 18/07/2006 23:09

btw I got mine from figleaves I ordered two different types and returned the one that I did not want-the return was free and they refunded the money very quickly, So you could always try it and return it if you don't like it.

controlfreaky2 · 18/07/2006 23:31

thanks for all kind comments. only need to dehair / exfoliate furiously and fake tan a bit before can face swanky spa (err this is all wrong isnt it....)

motherpeculiar · 18/07/2006 23:32

aha - thanks for that chipkid

and btw I really like that hot hot haute one,my favourite along with controlfreakys actually - what good taste going on....

motherpeculiar · 18/07/2006 23:33

johnsons holiday skin cream is the answer (what was the question?) and was reduced in boots to half price recently (make up for the price of the cossie!) - use every day and you glow really nicely, with none of the streaks of regular fake tan

have fun!

controlfreaky2 · 18/07/2006 23:36

am onto that mp... have the nivea one. really good and smells v nice too. if use for more than few days in row goes a tad @rusty@ though... not a good look!

controlfreaky · 19/07/2006 09:53

mp, are you / are you related to motherinferior?? get v confused by the namechanging on here.

tracyk · 19/07/2006 10:01

so can we clarify here - you get £30 off from Figleaves and order a bigger size than normal??

tracyk · 19/07/2006 10:19

Also, how are they for long torsos? I can never get a swimsuit long enough for the cups to sit high enough - I end up spending all my time howking the straps up.

controlfreaky · 19/07/2006 10:20

looks like you can get £30 off with figleaves. not sure re bigger size bit... i did but i didnt want super control underwear feeling... suppose it depends how much flesh you have to tame / subdue etc. if in doubt would get reccommended size (figleaves website "translates" the us sizes).

OP posts:
controlfreaky · 19/07/2006 10:22

tracy, was typing reply while you were posting second time... the long torso bit was also why size bigger was better on me than usual size... ok, is that all clear now
if you are interested and able why not track them down in real life and try some on?

OP posts:
tracyk · 19/07/2006 10:25

yes - I think Bravissimo do them - not sure what range they stock though. and maybe John Lewis/Debenhams?

controlfreaky · 19/07/2006 10:28

i got mine in house of fraser (london, city branch). where are you?

OP posts:
tracyk · 19/07/2006 10:49

Glasgow

controlfreaky · 19/07/2006 10:52

i'd ring any big department store and see if they stock them...

OP posts:
motherpeculiar · 19/07/2006 16:56

controlfreaky - am not related to moterinferior, although I stole the idea of my name from her (with her blessing ) - that was before I knew about the name changing on here

have come close to meeting up with her as we live in more or less the same neck of the woods, but not managed it

back to miraclesuits - might get up to house of fraser, but would buy from figleaves with 30 quid off

drymuscat · 16/05/2007 13:25

They are brilliant! as are the miraclesuit Shapewear underwear things Trinny and Susannah recommend. I have several of each as dieting never seems to work for long. They cost fortunes on figleaves. Just buy them on Ebay from the USA where they are made and ask the seller to declare the value as $30 so you don't get hit for VAT. I got mine from a UK Ebay seller theoldboiler0 who imported mine for me as I wasn't sure what to do and it only cost me £60 for a costume instead of £100-£125.
