I work shifts, sometimes get stuck at work for days without warning, end up doing unsociable hours - so am trying to work out the best way to look good without doing much. I also get ill on occasion and really struggle to care much about how I look when this happens, but then feel even worse when I catch sight of myself in the mirror!

So far

had semi permanent eyeliner tattooed (fab!)
Bought professional eyelash dye in blue black and put it on about every 2 weeks so I look like I have mascara on.
Use my clarasonic before bed every night I can, followed by retinol cream
Put tanning moisturiser on in the morning to keep some colour and hide blemishes.
I've also booked a monthly eyebrow sort appointment immediately followed by a hair tidy and colour (first appointment tomorrow)

Any other ideas that I've missed?

Can you bring anything with you for touch ups?

Dillydollydaydream · 06/12/2013 17:33

Tinted lip balm or benetint for lips/cheeks?

I carry a bit of make up, but it's more the 'roll out of bed' and not have time to do anything before getting stuck into work (often sleep on site and barely get time to have a coffee in the morning - never mind when there's a night time emergency and I'm stuck by a hospital bed for the next 16 hours trying to look like a responsible professional! ).

I have dry shampoo, try to only use it when stuck though.

What is the semi permanent liptint like? Does anyone here have it?

Get some bb cream . If you get the right one you could put it on in the dark like moisturiser and it will give you a lift .

Are you allowed nail varnish? Gel nails in a neutral colour would add a groomed touch.

Concealer for under eyes/sides of nose/blemishes. Blusher to counteract grey tired skin, tube of tinted lip balm in pocket.

Are you an ITU doctor OP ;)

AVENE do a very nice facial spritz in a can..it is quite small, would fit in scrub pockets for a lovely refreshing mist of moisture. Also Caudalie have a product called Beauty Elixir also about 12.5mls..lovely freshener. This will wake you up and deliver a boost of moisture. I'm also in horrible hospital aircon for long periods and all I can recommend is moisturise moisturise moisturise!
