Well, have about 3 tops, but nothing else that works with breastfeeding. I am so sick of my limited wardrobe, amd really can't just rotate the same three items for the next year! But don't want to spend a fortune as hopefully I will for back into my pre pregnancy clothes again one day and once I'm no longer breastfeeding I'll have more choice. I'm rubbish at shopping at the best of times, so would really appreciate some ideas of what I could buy. Thanks.

Ok, what's your style, budget and size?
It sounds like you need a small capsule wardrobe to bridge your gap and some accessories to help you ring the changes?

JennySense · 05/12/2013 22:12

Oh and colouring too?

Not sure I have a 'style' as such, but I wear jeans a lot with tops and cardigans or tunic style tops. Like White Stuff, Warehouse etc as shops I'd usually turn to first. Bit boring really! I'm quite tall, size 12-14, longish brown hair. Not really sure on budget..would be great if I could get a few things for around £100. I'd probably normally look in White Stuff first, but for that budget could only get 2-3 things, whereas I think I need a bit more than that. I just don't know where to start.. I'm pretty hopeless at shopping. Thanks for your help!

Have you looked in Hennes? You do have to look but there is some nice stuff. Also tkmaxx, but again you need the time to look properly. Try and buy things that you really love, rather than things that will do. If you can't find anything you like that is cheaper I would get some tops from white stuff and damn the expense Grin

Gap do great basic tops, they also have a maternity range.
I wore a lot of baggy t shirts when I was breast feeding or low cut tops so I could just flop them out have ease of access.ShockWink

I think you should consider primark and get:
skirt
trousers
top
blouse
in shades that suit you and work together - I tend to stick to navy, grey and white then use accessories like scarves to add colour.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
baskingseals I think you're right. I need time to look properly, which I never seem to have! Impossible to look properly when I'm trying to stop eldest child running off or pulling things off the rails!

Blueuggboots I already do the low cut top thing and find it easiest! Blush Feel I should be a bit more discreet in public though
JennySense I always forget about Primark for some reason. I'll have a look there.Thanks.

I shopped in charity shops for months after having DS. Bought a few stretchy wrap type dresses, and button up or shirt dresses - both good for access.
