Help please, bored of products or tried stuff that's not up to the task! I like Aromatherapy Associates / Clarins type products with no nasties. My skin is quite sensitive, dry & eczema prone but oily t zone. Tried Trilogy rose hip oil, it's making no difference to dry skin. REN moisturiser also not that amazing... Any recommendations?

La Roche Posay. Their Hydreane line is great for sensitive skin and is paraben free. It comes in different formulations, depending on your skin-type...I use the light fluid under makeup and also really like the BB cream on days when I'm in a rush.

Face oil definitely. I use the Clarins one for oily skin. But I think you have to stick at it for some time to see a difference. Its been a year now since I started using it. The results build up over the months, you can't see a radiant, fresh face overnight.

But when you DO see it, oh my god, its amaay-zing!!

I use either the Decleor neroli oil or some pure Argan oil. I then use the Lacura moisturising cream from Aldi.

Clarins Blue Orchid Oil is great for dry skin. Clinique's Moisture Surge is a great moisturiser for dry skin too.

Wolfiefan · 01/12/2013 21:57

Liz Earle cleanser, toner and superskin moisturiser (dry and sensitive skin)
Rose oil (day) and face balm (night) with above. Decleor. Magic.
Also loved Eve Lom rose.

Decleor Angelique oil, avocado oil, Weleda rose oil ampoules...

Have you considered everything else you use? It may be that you need to look to your cleanser as well.

At the moment I'd say this for me, is the ultimate "green" range that really, really works. I can't imagine using anything else now. The cleanser can last nearly a year so they are less expensive than they appear to be. Everything is a joy to use.

Otherwise, there's no harm in trying Dr Hauschka first if you haven't already. (Though you probably have.)

Also, when I'm out of or too poor for luxury oils I find Rice Bran oil really rather good - less heavy than olive oil. And you may want to stay away from creams of any sort.

Pure Nuff Stuff products are good too for sensitive skin.

There are some great suggestions there I will look at,I have used the blue orchid oil before when pregnant and my skin was good, but maybe that was just because I was pregnant! I like dr hauschka but used only body stuff, I think they only do a normalising oil? But I maybe wrong

Have tried a few but nothing betters the Clarins facial treatment oil in my opinion

Decleor Neroli Essential night balm is amazing.. smells and feels incredible, really gentle (I'm on the sensitive side too). The Aromessence Neroli oil feels and smells amazing - did a bit of digging and found it has a hazelnut oil base which has a gentle astringent effect. One or two drops does the job, skin feels fab. Hazelnut oil on it's own is excellent for cleansing and hydrating if your skin is really misbehaving!
Just started using Oqibo too. Their cleanser is fab, v gentle, no irritation or dryness.
Thanks for the info on La Roche Posay, been hearing lots of people mention it.

Personally, I did not like the Decleor neroli night balm: I did not like the smell strangely enough and I hated the texture which seemed liked wax to me. Horses for course, I suppose.

Don't laugh but I think the Avon Anew products are fantastic, they really suit my skin.

sue52 · 02/12/2013 15:52

My skin tends to be quite dry and sensitive too. I use aqueous cream with a flannel to remove make up and use bio oil as a night moisturiser, in the morning I spray my face with water mixed with rose water and use Elemis pro marine collagen as a day moisturiser. I do have a monthly aromatherapy facial which helps my skin absorb moisture.

Creativelyavoiding · 02/12/2013 18:13

Texture and smell the two things guaranteed to make you love or loathe a product on sight (or smell!). I must admit I wasn't convinced at first, I kinda get what you mean about the waxy texture.
Have heard really good stuff about Avon too, gone are the the fuddy old powdery smelling perfumes I hear.
