how can I make my hair appear thicker?

Im growing my hair but it's quite fine so the longer it gets the thinner it looks!

It's just past bra strap level atm which is great but looks a bit flat and thin around the fringe area.
I put dry shampoo on which helps but don't want to do that every day.

any suggestions??

I use Tigi Bed Head Small Talk before I blow dry and I think that helps my hair appear fuller.

Give me texture, instant oomph powder by VO5. Brill stuff.

V05 give me texture- the spray though, not the powder. I have to say though, the only time my hair looks thick and bouncy is when it's short. It's a shame because I would love it long.

Thanks for the replies, will have a look at the vo5 stuff.

Bumble and Bumble texture creme makes mine look a lot thicker, and gives great root lift if you put plenty on the roots and use it with a diffuser/blast the roots with a hairdryer. Don't know why the description says 'shine-free finish' cos it makes mine shinier Confused

don't know what your usual routine is but if you have time i find it helps to blow dry the whole thing with my head upside down so the hair is being dried pointing away from the roots. you feel a bit silly at first but it makes a difference.

aussie volume shampoo is also great, doesn't seem to bog my hair down and leave it limp at all.

my hair is waist length and that's the two main things that have worked for me.

Most important things are finding the right length and style for your hair (mine is just below shoulder blades with subtle graduation at the front, as it goes very flat if I have it even a couple of inches longer), and ensuring that your shampoo isn't causing product buildup. I alternate the Herbal Essences volume shampoo with either the Aussie volume shampoo or the L'oreal volume shampoo (Aussie in winter when the central heating dries my hair out, L'oreal in summer when it's more prone to oiliness).

Wash hair in the evening, apply Wella Shockwaves mousse, comb through while hair is wet, and then brush out in the morning with good quality boar bristle brush, invert head and liberally spray VO5 Give Me Texture at the roots.

I don't use the Give Me Volume powder as it makes my roots feel matted, but presumably other people don't have this problem as it's very popular Smile.

Tbf my hair is better suited to being short but bored of that and want long hair

I do try to dry the roots upwards for some lift I also do have volume powder for roots but that makes my hair feel claggy and dirty.

Shampoo atm is argan oil but once finished will give Aussie a go Ive heard lots of good things about it.
