Can you recommend a miracle working body cream?

I have really dry flaky skin, have done since infancy. It always gets worse around this time of year and I'm just fed up with every time I get undressed a flurry of flakes flutter to the floor like snow. Can anyone recommend a really good body cream or lotion for someone like me with really dry, sensitive, atopic skin?

I find it much more effective to use an oil after my shower, I like the balance me toning one.

I have the same skin and with excema.I use a body brush in the shower to get rid of the dry skin and then Soap and Glory body butter.

Its really rich but doesn't effect my skin.

Thank you, I like the idea of the brush, and then an oil or butter. I think I needs to get rid of the flakes before piling on the butter or oil! Cream/lotions just aren't cutting it! I've got eczema too vintage though fortunately it's not too bad at the mo, just a couple of patches on hands and feet.

I have been using coconut oil in the shower after the brush but the effects do not last as long as S&G body butter, its very good!

A really good body scrub - look for an oil/salt based one as that will give you moisture and don't be gentle with it!
I love l'occitane ultra rich Shea butter but body shop Shea body butter or something similar will work too
