Oily skin troubles

I seem to be having awful oily skin recently and constantly have a few big spots on jaw line, brow area and forehead. I have been using Superdrugs own brand tea tree wash and scrub and cleanser/toner (not the moisturiser as that instantly greases me up) successfully until recently, when it just did the reverse of what it is supposed too.

Any advice on a different skin care set? I haven't got a big budget for toiletries, could probably stretch to Lush products and things at a similar price.

Preferably not anything that requires buying tonnes of different things and having to try and get myself into the town centre to buy every month.

I don't wear make up either, so that's not an issue.

I think maybe all the tea tree stuff is stressing your skin out causing it to produce more oil. Start treating your skin as being sensitive rather than throwing harsh products at it. Have you tried hot cloth cleansing? Superdrug do a really cheap Vitamin E one, massage the cleanser into your face and then remove with a hot cloth (funnily enough!). And I know it sounds counter intuitive but massaging a couple of drops of oil to your face a few times a week can be beneficial in the long run. Clarins Lotus oil is pricey but apparently does great things for oily skin and a bottle will last you for months.

Superdrug also have a range for dehydrated skin which might be good for you, as skin can be oily and still dehydrated, lacking water rather than oil.

That would make sense, I've been using the tea tree stuff for less than a year so it might have caught up on my skin!

I shall look for the Vitamin E stuff and think about the Clarins stuff for the new year when I have some more expendable income!

I have very oily skin and find that the gentler I am with it the less oily it is.
I use La Roche Posay Toleraine cleanser and Avene light moisturiser SPF 20. I use Elemis papaya enzyme peel as an exfoliant twice a week.
If you feel you need to use a toner Lush tea tree water is lovely and gentle. Also I now double cleanse before bed seems to keep my skin very clear.

Thanks :) Never heard of these brands but I shall have a look in Boots and superdrug!

I used to have combo skin, but it's recently gone full oil.
