It is utterly dry and lifeless. Tons fell out after bf 2 kids in quick succession. It's growing back in now but just hangs there limply. I also have to dye it because of all the grey but I really need to give it some special pampering treatments - which are the best and what are the best rejuvenating shampoos/conditioners to keep it looking better?

I really need my hair back as I'm like Samson without it. It was always my comfort blanket so am feeling like a dog at the minute

I dyed mine so much it had loads of build up and was in a dire state b/c of it.

If you have lots of grey, but to find a stylist to blend in high and lowlights w/the grey than keep dyeing it.

I also keep mine fairly short.

I use Ghd straightners w/thermal protector applied before I blow dry and it's worked a treat.

Also I deep condition every week.

Mine is just above shoulder length and I'd have it longer if it was in better shape coz I really don't suit short hair. What thermal protector do you use and what deep treatment? Also (scuse my ignorance - but what does ghd mean?)

Good hair day. It's a brand.

Try the website 'lookfantastic'. I think it's .co.uk

I think you should see a stylist before anything else. My hair was like straw b/c of all the dye build up.

I use Kerastase Masque Intense as a deep conditioner.

Ta - shall give it a go

I bought aveda 'damage remedy' conditioner at the weekend and its the best conditioner I have ever had.
The downside is that its £18 and doesnt smell all that great. Think I might carry on getting it though because my hair feels gorgeous

I was about to recommend the Aveda Damage Remedy too - although I think it says leave it on for 5 minutes or something, if you can leave it on for a good 10-20 minutes it works even better.

agree about asking a stylist first
I have thick wavy hair that was going dry and dull, and my hairdresser recommended a Clynol shampoo and conditioner (not that expensive for a salon product, around £7 I think?), they have worked miracles on my hair which now looks fab!!!
