High end designer shoe brands that are comfortable

So I would like to invest in a pair of shoes, high heels from a good brand, but are they comfortable, or are they all going to cause so much pain I won't wear them. I need something black and glamarous. Also my feet tend to be a bit wide at the front and quite narrow towards the heel. So are the big brands worth the money?

I totally agree on the Louboutin Pigalles! Don't do it. I also have black patents from there and they are very uncomfortable. I have black patent courts from Stuart Weitzman for Russell & Bromley and they are very comfortable! In fact, I find that all RBs are comfortable. Lkb are comfortable but I have issues over their quality. Jimmy Choos - very comfortable too. They tended to be my heels of choice for many years, though they did have quality issues about 6/7 years ago, which I understand they have now fixed.

This year I have bought Brian Atwood and Valentino. Both 4" heels and would recommend.

I also have Rupert Sandersons but don't think they are all that comfortable.

If you're in London, there is also Joseph Azagury in Kensington. You can chose heel height and fabric etc there. I have only bought summer sling backs and my wedding shoes from there but great service and great shoes.

I have lots of different designer shoes but agree with lots of others on the thread that Jimmy Choos are very comfortable, particularly if you're looking for serious heels. I find with lots of designers that they seem ok when being tried on but when you come to walk in them they fall off your feet! I have some beautiful Sergio Rossi and Pedro Garcia heels which I can only wear standing still for this reason

I have two pairs of Choos - and they are hideously uncomfortable and I have thin feet Guccis are better.
