Oil pulling sounds effective. Basically you buy some organic coconut oil and swill a teaspoon of it around your mouth for up to 20 mins. You can get coconut oil from a decent supermarket. Maybe best to search oil pulling on here or google as I've only read about it and not done it!

I found Janina toothpaste to be quite effective and it's cheap as well

"DS that is what happens when you drink too much IrnBu innit" Wink

GoodnessKnows · 15/11/2013 04:19

Lol
I've had that remark - and mine have been whitened! I find it a handy thing. I flash the yellowish bits when warning my DS that he needs to brush his teeth. Works a treat. I went to my dentist and got the moulds done. Works a treat - obviously mine need topping up!

My mum takes charcoal tablets for wind or something and I pinch one every now and them and use the powder to brush my teeth really good and cheap.

Get a good clean at the hygienist. I thought my teeth were yellow but it's just staining that they can easily remove. Bleaching them weakens them better that to get them cleaned!

Grin giraffes.

The thing is that my teeth are ,according to my dentist, very strong and healthy, which is why they are a bit yellow as the enamel is thick, it's not staining.

My dentist wasn't keen on whitening them when I asked as I have felt a bit self conscious about them for a while.

Guess I'd better go back and ask him.
Has anyone tried those Crest strips?

I have seen your teeth (now I know that is random but you are friends with my friend on fb) and while I have not inspected them I do not recall them looking like you had a tangerine skin there.

If you want to feel better about your teeth have you considered watching Jeremy Kyle?

I sometimes pick up a whitening tooth paste. I would be worried about getting them done though - I have not researched it but I just worry if it is good for teeth.

trixymalixy · 16/11/2013 09:30

Giraffes you make me laugh.

I was slightly freaked out but I know who our mutual fb friend is now!

They're not that bad, but yellow enough that I feel a bit self conscious about them.

Crest whitening strips from ebay...use them once a week for a month and the difference is so amazing!

I swear by them

trixymalixy · 16/11/2013 11:53

I had a look on eBay but was a bit overwhelmed by the choice. Which ones do you buy?

I've just bought crest strips on eBay, £2.70 Shock

WhiteArmedHera · 16/11/2013 20:13

Oh Trixy I am delighted to be able to help you back! (ski jackets earlier today - THANK YOU Thanks)

Opalescence 35% available on ebay (from USA, postage takes about a week) is outstanding. You need to get mouth trays, some sellers sell them too, the more finely moulded to your teeth the better. I have had lots of compliments since using. Much stronger and more effective than crest strips I believe. Smile

trixymalixy · 23/11/2013 11:26

Thanks everyone have ordered from eBay.

Hope your ski jacket suits Hera!
