well - I have no style at all Smile
a random mix of clothes which I pick up in a hurry

but feel as I am getting older I should really get a grip and build my wardrobe

I am on a bigger side, size 18 (but loosing weight), 5'3''.
I don't need office clothes for work, we usually wear jeans & a top, very casual wardrobe. So I can play with colours and wear the same clothes outside of work as I wear 9-5.

When I was younger I used to like to dress extravagantly, but I lost confidence as I put weight on.

I would welcome any ideas of blogs or sets of clothes which I can use as an inspiration. I can knit and crochet too Smile

Have you tried Pinterest , not really a blog a such but like a scrap book you can create for yourself. You can search for fashion , beauty , housey stuff if fact anything you could think of . I have got loads of inspiration and fashion ideas and it's quite addictive

poppystyle is good. shes not for everyone, but I love that shes so happy and content with her life. its nice to see someone not complaining all the time.

Her fashion is not what I would wear as I am bigger than her and not as brave but she does give ideas and things that you think wouldn't work do.

also doesmybumlook40

there are quite a lot of plus size blogs out there but they tend to be the larger side of plus side, so it sounds like a 'normal' sized blogger might be better way to look as you will be able to pick an 18 up in most high street stores.

Have you had your colours done?

If you can knit and crochet, have a look at the Rowan designs and use them for inspiration - the way they style them on their models is terrific, I think (I am a similar age. I have a mother who knits, luckily for me!) Also You could find a figure in the media i.e. an actress or someone whose style you admire and take ideas from what they wear, how they present themselves.

thanks for those ideas! - I am going investigate them and will report soon!

I think I am lucky to be able to knit as this is the easiest way to make winter wardrobe uniqe Smile

I knit & crochet too. Have you looked at Drops designs, they are really stylish & unusual. You can access them, mostly for free, on Ravelry. If you're not a member of Ravelry it's well worth joining for patterns, ideas & tips. The forums are great.

These are a couple you might like. They are over 40. The boutique one actually lost 3 or 4 stone and now looks amazing and she has lots of information on nutrition.
