If you all already know about this, please don't rain on my parade.

Cleanse. Apply calamine liberally. Sleep. Repeat for two nights.

And that's it. All the depressing little cystic buggers that hovered around my chin waiting to look horrendous in a certain kind of light - gone!

I wonder if OP means the unsqueezable bumpy zits under the skin, as opposed to the hard white lumps that are not pus-filled at all and are more like a grain of sugar inside..?

I can imagine calamine shifting deep down zits-in-waiting, but I can't imagine it doing anything on the grains of sugar.

I got my sugar lumps zapped with so-called advanced electrolysis as my high street beauty clinic where they burned off the little bugger next to my eyelid that made me look a 100 years old. It worked.

I tried it last night and it did seem positive. My skin was soft and calm this morning and bumps did feel smaller.

How long before you noticed a real difference OP?

NicolaSeven · 10/11/2013 19:32

Yes, Sargeant, exactly - the chin zits!

It took two days for me and I had an unshiftable nest of the little beasts near my chin.

Johnson & Johnson No More TearscBaby Shampoo has been recommended for reducing/removing Milia around the eye on Makeupalley before.

Thumbwitch · 10/11/2013 22:53

Thanks Wally!

After 2 nights the calamine has cured a cluster of chin spots, flattened a bump and bought other bumps and spots to a head. I am using it again tonight I am very happy with the results.

WallyBantersJunkBox · 11/11/2013 21:49

I have to say as a side note - I washed my make up brushes in a blob of DS's Baby Shampoo tonight - they are white and gleaming, soft and fluffy. Grin

That reminds me mine need doing.

I find capasal cradle cap shampoo amazing but drying has saliycic acid which is proven to get rid of spots/milia blackheads.

I got into some Korean skin products and can recommend the Tosowoong brushes plus foaming cleanser of your choice for annoying under skin bumpies.

I use Etude House's Baking Powder for makeup removal and deep cleansing/exfoliating, but I'd be careful with using that every day as it may irritate some people.

The Tosowoong brushes you can certainly use everyday. Unlike a lot of those scrubby things it's akin to having your skin delicately kissed by butterflies rather than assaulted by an industrial sander. The bristles are very dense, but incredibly soft.

For a major bumpies attack I assault with the Toso and Baking Powder. You do need to moisturise a lot afterwards and go steady on the scrubbing. I've managed to remove a whole load of bumpies that way.

I have had under the skin bumpy spots on my temples for years and guess what? I tried the calamine lotion thing after reading it in here and it made a massive difference after just one night! Thanks op.

SundaySimmons · 13/11/2013 20:28

I use this a scrub

www.amazon.co.uk/Newtons-Anti-Bacterial-Polishing-Foot-Scrub/dp/B00DO0IDD4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1384373993&sr=8-3&keywords=newtons+foot+scrub

It's only a pound in the pound shop and the best scrub/exfoliator I have used, and I've used lots over the years! It's meant as a foot scrub but I find it great on my face, upper arms and backs of legs to get rid of under the skin bumps.

I now have smooth skin but I do still suffer from occasional blind spots. These can be very painful and rarely come to a head. I usually sterilise a needle and pierce the offending hard lump and that successfully releases the trapped pus that is throbbing below the skin.

Unfortunately, every now and then it gets infected and although the pus has been released, the lump gets bigger and more pus collects, although this is near the surface and can easily be squeezed out, but it does give a few days of being sore and unsightly!

Hideous I know and my own fault.

I am now resisting the urge to pierce a very painful blind spot on the outside of a nostril! The area isn't particularly swollen but is rock hard, very painful and bright red. It started last night feeling sore and hasn't come to a head and I know it won't, but it's so painful I need to draw it out. So I have got a cotton bud and dipped it in the calamine lotion and applied it to the area and hopefully this will draw or dry it out.

Thanks for the tip, op.

SundaySimmons · 14/11/2013 10:22

Update.

This is very effective at drawing out. Too effective!

It has worked on the side of my nostril, which is now less sore and red. However the areas where my skin was ok but I applied it like a face mask it has drawn out half a dozen large spots. Four had a squeezable head in and one is now a large bump under my skin on my skin and growing !

I think I will use calamine again but only on a specific spot as today I look awful!
