A poster just shared a coat from a place called Seasalt, I'd never heard of it and enjoyed having a browse around a new site. DO you use sites that aren't amongst the standard high street shops?

I live in Cornwall where Seasalt are based so they do have shops here. Lazy Jack's is good if you like Seasalt.
Joe Brown is a catalogue/internet shop that has some quirky bits, but the quality isn't always brilliant.

Curioustiger · 04/11/2013 22:13

Pretty dress company. Does what it says on the tin. Some of the dresses are a bit too pretty, I think, but there are some gems, particularly the lace ones. I always wait for the sale though, I don't pay full price as I think they're good, but not good enough to warrant completely full price.

dizhin79 · 04/11/2013 23:43

marking place this could be very interesting!! I also check out Joe Brown's and joules not usual high street fodder Smile

dizhin79 · 04/11/2013 23:47

meant to add if you're looking for specific types of items, Google later at night when advertising costs are lower and u should find more unusual shops popping up.

MillyRules · 05/11/2013 00:33

Joe Brown's also has real life shops. One here in Llanberris, North Wales. My DH went to school with his daughter.

MillyRules · 05/11/2013 00:36

Part Two clothing is stylish, Kath Kidston clothing, White Stuff ( like Sea Salt), Odd Molly and Mud and Water.

pseudonymity · 05/11/2013 04:00

There's Hush and Toast.

Eastpoint · 05/11/2013 04:09

Plumo - quirky household goods, shoes, clothes

I was going to say Hush too.

Not on the High Street - good for presents

My Wardrobe - has some new designers as well as those found on Net a Porter

HollyBollyBooBoo · 05/11/2013 05:17

I like Anthropologie for lovely jewellery and home stuff.

Just discovered Melody Maison for really good value home things.

John Lewis also stock Seasalt so worth looking there as they have some reductions on at the moment.

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 05/11/2013 13:00

pseudonymity i may just love you!

I tried on a jumper from toast last year in john lewis, loved it but didn't buy (idiot!) then when back and the range had disappeared and I couldn't remember the name (had 'bread' in my head, I was shopping with a 6 month old so not really paying attention). It was TOAST! and they have a website!

That's my Christmas wedding outfit sorted. Thank you thank you thank you

knitknack · 05/11/2013 13:13

I was going to recommend Atterley Road - it's lovely

DreamingAlice · 05/11/2013 13:43

Me + Em, Hush, Toast and a cold water surf shop called Finisterre which has some fabby stuff though I have not yet actually purchased anything.

madammecholet · 05/11/2013 15:51

NOtOnTheHighStreet.com for gifts & clothes, Thehandpickedcollection.com for gifts, Great Plains, Atterley Road, Mint Velvet, Pretty Dress Company,ZARA online for clothes, Peony & Moore for bags, Hush for nightwear, LandsEnds for kids clothing...Grin

Eastpoint · 05/11/2013 16:31

H&M site is good for sale goods. I bought some men's chinos reduced from £29 to £4 in September.

Sunflower6 · 05/11/2013 17:43

mistral, which is a bit like white stuff and seasalt - they do have some shops as well but not in every town like next etc.

Curioustiger · 05/11/2013 17:49

Madamecholet I bet your postie loves you!

Orangeanddemons · 05/11/2013 17:50

Poetry, Wrap, Cos, Uniqlo, Other Stories

madammecholet · 05/11/2013 17:57

curioustigerI'm on first name terms with my Hermes delivery driver, she's lovely. Grin My DH finds this both worrying & hilarious! I only have time to shop online, both groceries, clothes & gifts... tbh its cheaper sometimes too than petrol and parking, let alone the time involved..... Wink

Nellymay · 05/11/2013 18:21

Poetry and Wrap but only their sale stuff as expensive!!

Trazzletoes · 05/11/2013 18:24

Iota for gifts and knick-knacks.

Maroque is good for spices and Moroccan ceramics.

Myakka has good customer service and gorgeous furniture.

BlueSkySunnyDay · 05/11/2013 18:27

For skin care and fragrances I like Yves Rocher here

I generally get as much stuff free as I buy...which may sound odd but I guess they know the products are good and I will end up buying more, which I do Blush They have managed to completely coax me away from clinique for skin care.

I also use their Jasmine, Neroli, Evidence & Flower Party fragrances.

TooMuchRain · 05/11/2013 18:31

I had a bad experience with Atterley Road's customer service and won't use them again but I would second Toast and going to look up some of the others now Smile
