Cream recommendation for psoriasis

Psoriasis has flared up on the underside of my forearms. Have tried e45, sudocrem and using perfume free soap but nothing seems to be helping. Any recommendations or ideas would be so gratefully received please.

In my experience cream makes not a jot of difference to psoriasis. Daily vitamin D supplements (and giving up the fags) are the only things to have shifted my scaly skin.

I use Trilogy Everything Balm. It's lovely and I find it helpful in smoothing and soothing. It's about £12 on Amazon and lasts forever!

I have found Aloe & Propolis cream works really well for me.

It's just a case of trial and error I'm afraid.

I think Purenuffstuff products are meant to be good for sensitive skins (e.g. suffering from psoriasis or eczema).

You may want to check this product out. You can get a little sample for £0.50, or you could even get in touch with them to confirm in advance whether their cream might help.

I haven't tried it but I've heard good things about Moogoo

Squoosh's suggestion of bit D supplement is good, also a good omega 3 supplement v helpful. I also - by complete chance - found Clarins tonic body oil amazing on it, but is ££ (but has the advantage of feeling v pampering and indulgent, smells fabulous, not at all like medical stuff). A bottle will also last ages if you only use it on forearms rather than all over, like me

Is the flare up a reaction to stress? Mine always is...removing or reducing source of stress is best of all .

Try coconut oil; my dh has bad psoriasis and swears by it

the only thing that worked for me was Dovobet on prescription from the GP. nothing else i tried worked unfortunately.

I cleared mine with picolinate Zinc and 1000mg Omega 3 as advised by independent health food shop .the 2 work together and my Psoriasis is gone .

I have read that people leaving the shampoo T gel on the sore bits for as long as possible, then rinsing off has great results. It's the coal tar in it which makes it work.

My dad has psoriasis on his hands and uses Avene Cold Cream hand cream. Boots and pharmacies should have it.
I've heard good things about Emu oil for psoriasis, but have no clue if it works. I've seen it on www.feelunique.com

Aloe Vera gel (about 4 quid from h&b) clears mine up after a few days of slathering it on

Reading eagerly as 9 year old dd has quite bad psoriasis.

We use Dovonex on prescription from the GP. It's a vitamin D based cream. It works OK but does not get rid of it. It seems to be very expensive too and comes in tiny tubes.

We also use Eucerin which helps moisturise it.

We have tried Aveena and it didn't really work for us. Purenuff does nothing either nor Hope's relief cream.

If anyone has any other ideas I would also love to hear them.

A relative of mine also swears by Coconut oil.
