What's best for disguising large pores on my nose?

My skin is generally quite well behaved but I do have quite large pores on the end of my nose. I'm quite self conscious about them as I'm always thinking that people will think they're huge blackheads.

I currently use either a bit of tinted moisturiser (Lancome's Hydro-zen) or or fake take (Benefit's Talk to the Tan) and a bit of translucent powder to take away any shine but none of these products cover up or disguise the pores.

Is there anything that can be recommended?

I use benefit pore-fessional I think it's called. It's like a primer that goes either on top or under your foundation or on its own. It's silicone based so sits on your skin and isn't absorbed into it

Clarins primer is very good.

have used porefessional but I think the loreal studio secrets professional hides pores much better esp if they're quite big its expensive but lasts a long time, and boots have it as part of the 3 for 2 at the minute

L'Oreal Studio Secrets ticks all the boxes for me and my golf course nose!

I really like the L'Oreal Studio Secrets too. It's like polyfilla for the face.

I have the same issue and find bareminerals primer, plus a touch of their foundation lasts me most of the day.

Primer is definitely the key I think.

I have this problem too. I use The Body Shop's Seaweed toner and Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, and then their Seaweed moisturiser. Then I use YSL's primer and Touche Éclat foundation.

The Benefit Porefessional is often highly recommended, but I haven't tried it.

Ooh, this is my problem, too. Marking place to come back later and read the recommendations.

angryangryyoungwoman · 01/11/2013 21:19

Clinique pore minimiser or as other posters above have suggested, the bare minerals range is really good too

TreeMonkey · 02/11/2013 09:49

Thanks for these suggestions. I'll definitely check them out. I used to use Smashbox's Photo Finish primer which made my skin feel silly smooth but didn't really do much for the pore disguising.

I'm going to see if I can get my hand on some testers if the recommendations and see what works best for me.

I use clinique pore refining serum (££) most days with instant perfector when I'm doing proper make up

Didn't think Benefit one was any better than cheaper versions
