What bra size should I try?

I know my bra size is wrong and my poor boobs are suffering. I've just measured myself and got 34 under bust and 43 over (leaning forward like a good girl).

What sizes should I try?

Many thanks!

Bloody hell Shock not the 38b M&S tried to squoosh me in then?

Is there a good picture guide for what to look for when trying on so I can tweak the fit if needs be?

Brastop have a good fitting guide here. Great place to get bras too, they are so helpful.

Went and got fitted by a lovely lady in John Lewis who fitted me with a 36F! I never knew that I had mahoosive bazongas, I'm thrilled! Grin she thinks I'm between 34G and 36F so your advice was spot on crunchy thank you.

I can't get over how comfy my new bra is, I kept the new one on and just took the tag to the checkout.

Which bras did you go for? With those measurements I suspect you will find a 34 better in most brands-it's probably your best starting point when trying others. John Lewis are better than average with fitting but sometimes go a bit loose on the band. Bet this still feels like heaven compared to the marks ones!

PainInTheBum · 01/11/2013 15:10

I've some very comfy playtexbras in 36F, the band on the 34 was slightly tight but she said to try both when buying and that I may need to tweak the size roughly.

I knew the Marks measurement wasn't right and the online calculators gave me stupid sizes. My breasts were getting sore due to being constricted so badly. I ended up wearing bigger bras with no support or squishing them. My poor boobs are finally free. They look so much better too!

I can already feel that the pressure is off my back. John Lewis woman was fab, she measured my back only and had a look at my cups and brought back several to try. She was Shock when I told her the size M&S was saying, I'm quite tall though so they're not disproportional which is why I never thought my cup could be so big either.

38B, honestly..Shock and the "fitter" claimed that this bra was a good fit on you??

PainInTheBum · 01/11/2013 15:47

She was useless and completely disinterested hazel she measured me over t shirt gave me the size and wandered off. I ended up getting a bigger cup but it wasn't big enough. I got really worried recently as my boobs and back have been so sore, it was suggested I check my bra fits properly first and I'm so glad I did! I think they've been painful due to squashing and lack of support.

My sister is Envy she has measured and remeasured and is still an A Grin.
