Lelli Kelly girls' boots ...

Just wondering whether anyone might have seen either of these pairs IRL.

One
Two

If so, will they do casual to dressy? Leggings/jeans etc as well as skirts and dresses?

What's the quality like? Do they wear well? I've mixed feelings about this brand and haven't bought from them before but am desperately searching for two different pairs of boots for 5 yr olds. Very expensive though.

Thanks.

I haven't seen those boots but I've bought my DD1 Lelli Kelly shoes (these ones) for school three years in a row and they are excellent quality and wear very well, despite the battering she gives them in the playground! I usually buy her Geox boots for outside school and she wears them with leggings, jeans and dresses.

MrsMcGregor · 30/10/2013 20:38

Those are gorgeous shoes Decameron - my girls would love them. Good to hear Lelli Kelly wear well although not sure about those now as they're described as more of a fuschia pink than purple. Shall have a look at Geox. Thanks.

Dd's have very similar lelli kelly boots in black. Good quality and the dd's adore them (7&4).
We've had school shoes and canvas shoes from the brand before and they've been outgrown before they were destroyed. Usually managed to sell the canvas ines on ebay after a run through the washing machine.

Marylou2 · 30/10/2013 20:53

Haven't seen those unfortunately but I don't think you have to worry about quality with Lelli kelli , they are great. I was highly dubious about them when I bought DD her 1st pair but happy to get them now as they wear really well

mumofthemonsters808 · 30/10/2013 20:56

My DD is now 11 but when she was younger she always wore LK boots, pumps and shoes. Out of all the shoes I have bought over the years these were the most hard wearing. The quality remained even when outgrown and I was always able to pass them on. I believe they also sell well on Ebay.

PrimalLass · 30/10/2013 21:11

DD has these and the quality is shocking. They looked scruffy within a few wears.

So glad it's not just me - I now refuse to buy Lk's after 3 pairs as they just don't last. Fine if you're happy to keep them just for best but not if you actually want your dd to wear them!

tooearlytobeup · 31/10/2013 00:26

My dd has had patent lelli kelly boots for the last couple of winters. Each has lasted brilliantly, looked new when outgrown and were worn for school and outside. Quality was better than clarks and startrite

PrimalLass · 31/10/2013 09:50

I have heard the school shoes are bombproof.

MrsMcGregor · 31/10/2013 16:28

Mostly good reviews - thanks!. I think I'm going to have to order on-line which I don't know that I'm comfortable with - would rather have them fitted by someone who knows what they're doing! Our nearest stockist can't fit to save their lives - have had some real disasters with them. Just phoned another a little further away and they're closing down. There's a choice of a 75 mile drive or a 90 mile drive and no guarantee that they'll have something to fit. What a PITA.

If anyone is still reading, can you tell me how the sizing compares to Clarks please? Thanks!

tooearlytobeup · 04/11/2013 14:32

Lelli kelly are european sizing. My dd was a clarks 9g last winter and a 28 in lelli kelly. Her friend is quite wide footed and can also wear them so i would guess maybe not so good for very narrow feet hth

MrsMcGregor · 04/11/2013 18:19

Uh-oh tooearly - that's my worry but I've gone ahead and ordered them. She has her heart set on patent boots but if they don't fit, I'm hoping to be able to get the Clarks boots which she likes. Would be much easier in a shoe shop but sadly nothing close by stocking Lelli Kelly.

I pooh poohed Lelli Kelly as over priced and tbh a bit chavvyBlush The dh bought dd a pair for her birthday a few years ago and I was converted. Yes they are expensive but the quality is great-my dd had the patent shoes and knee boots last year and I have been able to pass them on to a fellow school mum for her dd still in mint condition.

Dd now had the nacy patent shoes for school and the red patent knee boots for casual and they are fantastic-not a mark or scuff on them.

tooearlytobeup · 04/11/2013 21:44

MrsMcGregor Sorry If I worried you. After posting I remembered that my elder dd had the trainer style ones a few years ago. She is narrower footed, a Clarkes E fitting and they were fine so hopefully your dd's will be too Smile

MrsMcGregor · 04/11/2013 21:51

Don't worry tooearly - I have to let her try them just to keep the peace at least! Fab service on the Lelli Kelly website - ordered at 1707 and got a despatched email 20 mins later!

Pinup - those were also my sentiments about the brand but I could be convinced otherwise - and most of the reviews on this thread have been really positive.
