Yep, the drop-waisted dresses (vest straps) in blue or grey are in the sale, they're v. nice. I might go back and get one!

I can't find ruddy anything I want or need in any shop - they all have autumn / winter stock in. It's bloody ridiculous. I expressed surprise to the woman in Next that it was not possible to buy boy's shorts at the beginning of July, but she said "Oh no, you have to buy things as soon as they come in"

WELL FUNNILY ENOUGH I HAD VERY LITTLE USE FOR SHORTS IN FEBRUARY

oh franny, that drives me absolutely mad too

the worst are shoes - 2 years ago in late July, dd had a massive growth spurt and outgrew her sandals. Went into all the shops and all they had in were the clompy winter shoes gggrrrr

Most places in Manchester had their sale on when I went on Saturday. THe only ones I remember that didn't were Monsoon and Next

Agree F&Z - I went out at the weekend to get linen shorts and shirts for the boys for a wedding next week and I was really struggling.

I've been in Monsoon this morning - no sale yet.
