What do you wear when relaxing at home?

I usually get changed into jeans & t shirt but wondering what others wear?
Jeans sometimes feel uncomfortable for lounging around.

"Snugglies" aka, Abercrombies lounge pants, vest tops, thick socks. I have to force myself to buy the Abercrombies in lurid bright pinks and oranges so that I can't be slobby and wear them when leaving the house, otherwise I think I'd stay in them 24/7

Yoga pants look horrible like boot cut jeans, sticking with my leggings.

LividofLondon · 28/10/2013 08:39

Lounge pants or leggings, long-sleeved thermal top, either a fleece or a snuggly sweatshirt, and bootie slippers with socks. Not very glamorous but no-one sees me (apart from occasionally the postie) and I feel the cold. My cottage is cool and I get chilled sitting around so always need to layer up; I have to take clothes off when I go outdoors in the summer!

Pj bottoms or yoga pants.
Crop top style bra. No pants.
Skinny, tight t-shirt (can't bear sleeves flapping around me).
Usually bare feet, not a fan of shoes.

Jeans and bra come off as soon as I get home, so uncomfy!

Oooh I love getting changed into my 'slumpies' or 'relaxipants' !
The minute I can ...
Change from my bra into one of those stretchy bra tops, a vest or baggy t shirt.
Weather dependent I'll stick on a cardie or one if DH's old soft jumpers and a pair of joggers or pj bottoms.
The bit I love best is taking out my lenses and cleansing my face though !

BirdyBedtime · 28/10/2013 14:08

I get changed pretty much as soon as I come home from work (where I'll be wearing either suit or dress/tights) into jogging bottoms (but only the ones without elasticated hems as I can't stand those), long sleeved t-shirt and hoody/poncho. Kids also get changed into jogging bottoms and fleeces. Sometimes I do feel like a slob but so much more practical for cooking, cleaning, crawling around the floor playing etc.

PJs Blush

In my defence I have 3 very hairy cats, I see no point in ruining good clothes when they will inevitably climb on me for cuddles. I love Bravissimo PJs. I reckon my posty thinks I never get dressed....

Horsemad · 28/10/2013 15:42

I can't believe so many have the same ideas!

I thinklounge pants/ yoga pants/leggings/jogging bottoms are the way to go. Want something comfy & easy to wear. Grin

Uniqlo do somes lounge sets that are very comfortable and look decent (better than mismatched tracksuit anyway IMO).

Or I wear leggings with a long vest top and an open cardigan in cashmere or soft wool. Uniqlo or COS do lovely ones.
Jeans I find way to uncomfortable

Notcontent · 28/10/2013 21:15

Yes, uniqlo in General is good for well priced, "lounging" clothes.

DaleyBump · 28/10/2013 21:17

Leggings and one of DP's big baggy t-shirts Halloween Blush

BillStickersIsInnocent · 28/10/2013 21:27

Sorry Ruby just saw this. They're Hush, last years. Not great quality as the waistband unravelled on second wear but they are very comfy and soft.

ShreddedHoops · 28/10/2013 21:34

Whatever top I was wearing, and Hush pj bottoms and Hush knitted bedsocks. And clean face and hair tied back. Ahhhhh.

Fuckitthatlldo · 28/10/2013 21:34

Oh I love getting into my 'comfies' after a long day. Especially in the winter after a hot bath. Pj bottoms or leggings with a snuggly jumper. No underwear at all - all bras and knickers are banned.

colditz · 28/10/2013 21:37

Fluffy pyjamas

CambridgeBlue · 28/10/2013 21:45

I work from home and one of the advantages is that I dress like this pretty much all of the time. I don't like just wearing pyjamas or anything too scruffy otherwise I don't feel I am in work mode so I've amassed a nice assortment of comfy but smartish leggings, harem pants, joggers, skinny vests and t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, scarves, chunky socks and sheepskin boots. I layer up because it gets quite cold and I hate having the heating on for just for me. I second the recommendation for Uniqlo lounging sets which feel like pyjamas but look respectable if I have to answer the door. I also love Hush stuff but find it a bit pricey so try and recreate the look on a Primark budget :)

RubyLovesShopping · 28/10/2013 21:52

Thanks Bill I have hush ones on my sales list for Jan I love the next ones and Dh is used to them now and no longer does mc hammer imitations when I put them on!
We call our comfy ones house trousers.

peggyundercrackers · 28/10/2013 21:57

I put on my piggy pants when I come in, on top a tshirt or sweat shirt or something like that.

I wear corporate wear during the day and then change into pjs around 5pm. Leopard print bottoms, black long sleeve top and fluffy socks. I love the winter.

I like the idea if layered vest tops and cardis though
