Wrinkly 'jeggings' in boots.. how not to?

Does anyone else have this? I have some jeggings and slim fit ponte trousers which are a slim fit but not like leggings or tights in terms of fit. When I push them into ankle boots / low calf boots I get that Nora Batty look of wrinkled trousers. Is there any way round this?
I'm also finding the same thing happens when the hems of slim trousers hit the tops of ankle boots- the trousers are too narrow to flop over the boot, so you get the wrinkled look.

I tuck them into my socks. I'm so cool Wink

You can't see the tuckage under calf boots, which is what I have, but you might not be able to with ankle boots, I guess.

I had this with my ankle boots last winter....have gone for knee high boots this year Grin

Will be interested to see if there is a solution though!

The problem with some calf or knee boots is that you then end up with a jodphur or Russian Cossack look! I'm not comfortable in skin tight jeans so it's a dilemma.

hmmmm...would taking a bit off the hem of the jeans help maybe? So there's less fabric to bunch up.

I was told those individual clips you get to attach mittens to coats can be clipped to each side of the trouser leg and looped under your foot to stop this problem. My friend raves about them. I just do the sock thing...

Jodhpur clips are what you need These

Alternatively sew some inch wide elastic on the bottom to make a stirrup. Neither are glamorous but both are effective Grin

I rather like the slight wrinkle with tuck-in ankle boots. I wear DMs and I like to think that the slightly runckled look works better. Could be wrong of course, but as long as I'm happy who cares?

But trousers not quite fitting over the ankle boots isn't so good. I would look for a change of footwear for that.
