How do I give my hair texture?

I have had a boring bon for years. Told hairdresser today that I'd like it to be a little more interesting.

She has chopped into it, given me a blunt fringe and got rid of the weight, but its quite limp now.
I normally blow dry it then straighten it, but in its normal state, I would love it to be more 'flicky' and textured, with my short, funky fringe. But how do I achieve this? Without working on it, it has an ugly z shaped kink to it, so no chance of letting it go au naturel.

I used a sea salt spray to achieve more texture in my hair and was surprised how well it worked! As was sceptical before hand to be honest!
This is the one I used...

I was going to say the same, but I use the Label M one, also from Toni&Guy. I found the T&G own brand one to be a bit sticky.

Dry shampoo is supposed to be good too, but you have to have a light touch if you don't want white hair. :)

ive got so many products for texture because my hair is flat and fine.

Sea salt spray, dry shampoo, volume gel spray for roots, powder for root lift, volumising mousse. All can be found in boots.

Is there any way I can achieve a gentle wave whilst styling?
Apologies for appalling OP - too much vino last night.

My bob is now choppy with a straight blunt fringe. Without drying and straightening, it would stay shapeless and, in odd kinks in parts. I would love it to curl up gently at the ends, giving it a little texture.

I use curling creme, quite a few brands do it, the pink boots one is good as is Trevor sorbie (but only the original version)

Hettie - do you do anything else apart from put the creme in?
