Jumpers for petite women

I am small. I really am - i am 145 cm tall and I am looking for jumpers/knitted stuff that are warm but won't drown me that i can buy online. I am a SAHM with no car and live in a rural area so I really don't have the opportunity to shop around. Can anybody please help?

Fat face/white stuff etc is just too big for me especially around the shoulders. So I have resorted to looking to childrens' clothes - I have looked at mini boden ( girls and boys) - is their stuff good quality? Is it truly worth the money? I know there are other children's clothes sections - but where i have looked they are too 'childish' if you know what I mean.

Step away from the kids clothes! You might be small but you're still a woman!

Easiest things to find are [[http://www.asos.com/Women/Petite/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=4177&mkwid=svWatoyQ6_dt&pcrid=28672530072&plid=&kword=asos%20petite&match=e&WT.srch=1&affid=4138&gclid=CNnk856qoboCFc_ItAodzgsALA#state=Rf900%3D4030&parentID=Rf900&pge=0&pgeSize=36&sort=-1 asos] quite a few nice bits there.

I'm very petite too:
Boden petite range includes some jumpers and cardigans.
Dorothy Perkins petite range has some jumpers and start at a UK4
New Look online petite range?
Topshop petite?
M&S online petite range?
Next petite?

Would you be willing to learn to knit?
I get by far the best fit by making my own. There's so much more choice too of yarns & patterns than you ever get ready made in shops.

I've found that fitted ones from whistles run quite petite

I'd recommend looking at Topshop, even their non-petite range things go down to size 4. And an 8 in Topshop often seems a whole size smaller than an 8 in somewhere like White Stuff or Fat Face. My very petite 68 year old mum finds some gorgeous knitwear in Topshop - it's not all crazy teen stuff. Go for their angora, wool and cotton stuff rather than the acrylic and it's great quality.
