Is there such a thing as a chic/stylish winter hat?

All I can think of so far is a beret. My style is "gamine" if that means anything to anybody but what it does mean is that woolly bobble hats are out. Handy that, because I don't like them on me. But what is the alternative in deep midwinter? Coat wise I will be wearing something fitted and crombie-ish. Can you please share your hat thoughts?

I've been thinking about hats lately too. What I'd really like is a felt fedora. But I don't know if I'd have the confidence to wear it. I'd be worried the hat looked like it was wearing me :-( I do think they look great though.

How about a Castarzi riding hat from ASOS?

I’ve got a new bakers boy hat with peak in a grey fabric bought in a little shop in bath.
I can get my ponytail and ears in it. I look stupid in hats, usually end up with beanie style over my eyes but woollen types make my scalp itch.
At least with the peak I should be able to see.

Berets and zhivago hats work for me. Conventional wooly hats affect my hair giveing it static and an indentation.
