I found that the Derma V10 range in Savers (& other similar shops) especially the cleanser, was fabulous. It's £1 and rivalled my favourite Dermologica Ultra Calming Face Cleanser, which I can't really afford now. However, I can't find it anymore. It's been removed. Unless they're updating the recipe or something and it'll return even better!

I love bright pink lipsticks but sometimes a more muted look is appropriate so I pat on Vaseline lip therapy in Pink Bubbly.

It lasts hours, isn't as shiny as a gloss but looks very pretty and tones down lipstick but doesn't make it wear off.

yogurt or avocado for face mask.
Lubriderm for moisturiser from USA.

Natural collection waterproof mascara from boots £1.99. It is great. Neutrogena body lotion is amazing too.

I am on a mission to try the superdrug cleansers and the serum for dehydrated skin.

Real technique brushes are really good budget brushes and often on offer in boots.

Sali Hughes beauty editor of Guardian has donea few budget beauty column and they are fab.

Barry M nail varnishes are about £3, great range of colours, go on well and last as long as (and often longer than) expensive other brands.

Avon Glimmerstick eyeliners are often 2 for £6 and are fab.

Oh YY to Avon Glimmersticks eyeliners, forgot about them.

Lili Lolo for mineral foundation & eyeshadow. Lasts for years & stays fresh/hygienic. Can only buy online though....but often has offers..free postage etc. Couldn't recommend highly enough! Esp for problem/sensistive skin.

Simple age resist day cream and matchibg wipes, avons youth max serum and superdrug naturally radiant hot cloth cleanser are my staples. These are nearly always on offer so i stock up when i can. I also love clinique superbalm lip treatment-not cheap at 14 quid but worth every penny as no other lipbalm keeps my lips soft. Mitchum deodorant keeps me dry in summer. Philip kingsley elasticiser makes my hair soft and strong (as my hair is short i find the travel size tube a bargain as it lasts for ages!) I personally find that paying a little more works out cheaper long term but still saves me money on cost per use.
