Hair mask or similar without cones?

Can anyone recommend a good - not too expensive - hair mask or deep conditioner that is fairly natural, but definitely without cones?

Due to skin problems I use natural shampoo which just won't wash out cones sufficiently, plus like to use natural products where possible because of said skin problem?

I like the Body Shop Rainforest one. A little goes a long way.

Coconut oil makes an amazing hair mask - I either put it on overnight or an hour or so before washing. I use a natural shampoo too, and it comes out no problem Smile

I was going to say the body shop rainforest one might work. I've bought it for my curly DD but haven't tried it yet.

Another fan of coconut oil here. You can get from the supermarket or else superdrug do a pot for a few quid. Dig out with spoon, melt in hands, rub all over hair, put shower cap or carrier bag on head and wrap in towel, leave for a few hours or overnight if you can bear it.

Cones?Confused

Coconut oil is fantastic for hair.

Yes, coconut oil! Am sitting here right now with a ton of it on my head and a shower cap - I look lovely Grin I use this one, it smells amazing. It's much better than Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, which I was using before.

Mix egg yolk and some olive oil together, apply all over your hair, wash 30-60 min later. Do it once a week and you will quickly notice the difference.

I occasionally use Henara intensive treatment wax. Although it's more like a thick conditioner than a wax. You use it just like a normal conditioner, after shampooing, but leave it on for about half an hour then rinse it off with water. I do still have to straighten my hair but it leaves it all swishy and shiny. I bought it in £stretcher for about £1.50. I'm not sure what cones are, but this conditioner washes out with just water,

Someone put me out of my misery and explain what cones are please! Grin

valiumredhead · 14/10/2013 10:51

Oh! siliCONES. Right, am with you now.

Following with interest.

Can't find Henara wax anywhere. Coconut oil just leaves my hair really greasy looking. I'm looking for a really good deep conditioner/mask without silicone.
