there is a no bra wearing day coming up for breast cancer awareness....im at work that day and would have someones eye out if id didnt wear a bra!

i never understood the pencil test thing. i thought id failed because i couldnt hold a pencil - but it seems that i got it the wrong way around.
im a 34 D. it just so happens that mine point forward instead of down - so pencil test is a no no for me - i cant hold them.

is this a good thing? my boobs apparently still point forwards instead of going south.....im narly 42 so am sort of counting this as a good thing! im about to have surgery on my stomach so i am guessing i will lose some weight and my boobs are always the first to go....

I couldn't hold a biro (does that count)

Must be because i have small boobs as they are defiantly not firm! Grin

Mumof3girlys · 10/10/2013 09:37

I passed the pencil test...... But then I do have implants! I was a 32aa had implants when second was 6 months old taking me to a 32d, had one more child 2 years later and there exactly the same round and firm like a 18 year old!

Deathbyladybirds · 10/10/2013 09:39

Fuck that. I'd fail the pencil case test, let alone the pencil test.

Salbertina · 10/10/2013 09:45

Mumof3- you're seriously making me consider uplift or something. Want nice boobs again! Is that greedy for a 40-something? Should gravity just do its evil work?

Thants · 10/10/2013 09:46

Bigger boobs will hold things under them. I'm a G so hold a lot!
It's not a good or bad thing whether you can or not, you should prob know if you have big or small boobs Confused

SummerScone · 10/10/2013 09:47

Either that "no bra" day was devised by a show-off wanting to flaunt their implants or by a man. I don't even answer the door without a bra on!

And I seem to remember Victoria Wood saying she could fit a whole branch of WH Smiths under hers Grin

notso · 10/10/2013 09:48

I can hold a roll of wrapping paper!
I hate my saggy old knockers, breast feeding has not been kind to them.

Thants · 10/10/2013 09:48

Salbertina. Please don't risk your life for boobs. Yours are fine the way they are! Implants are not like real breasts at all so you don't look like you did when younger you look like someone with implants.

Salbertina · 10/10/2013 09:50

Thants, you're right but -still a big part of me is vain do wonder. Uplift less radical, more natural, surely?

heidihole · 10/10/2013 09:51

no bra day!! at work!! christ.

I could hold everyone on this threads pencils under mine.

mignonette · 10/10/2013 09:56

Still pass the pencil test after BF x 2 children (don't hate me). I have medium sized breasts.

sonlypuppyfat · 10/10/2013 09:56

A small branch of WHSmith would fit comfortably under mine.

PuddingAndHotMilk · 10/10/2013 10:02

ROAR at Awkward attempting to hold her iPad might have to try that later

UriGHOULer · 10/10/2013 10:04

Yes, when I'm lying down!

But seriously, have you nowhere to keep your pencil?

MummyPigsFatTummy · 10/10/2013 10:11

I am a 34H and used to have to check DD's airways regularly when I was bfing. They stick out so far I once managed to smuggle beers into a festival under them when wearing a loose shirt.

They were disappointingly warm afterwards though.

MrsWedgeAntilles · 10/10/2013 10:15

No bra day? No bra day? No flipping way day! As an E cup breast feeder I can both tie the girls in a knot and and a bow and if it wasn't for my timely discovery of Bravissimo I'd be able to toss them over my shoulder like a regimental soldier.
I think my boobs might eat pencils Grin

happy2bhomely · 10/10/2013 10:18

I'm a 34 c/d. 5 children, 3 of them breastfed for over a year. Mine are lacking volume in the top half, but I couldn't hold anything under them! They just go outwards, not down. I'm only 30 though.

MrsWedgeAntilles · 10/10/2013 10:20

Salbertina have you been for a proper bra fitting? Mine were like spaniels' ears until I got into the right bra and now they point proudly forth (at least when I've got a bra on).
There was a bra fitting thread on here which told you how to measure yourself properly, let me see if I can find it for you.

Amrapaali · 10/10/2013 10:20

MrsWedge thats quite a picture you paint.... Grin

Salbertina · 10/10/2013 10:28

Thanks, Mrs, that would be fab! They're ok when encased in a bra just not otherwise. But horribly shrunken, slightly wrinkly cleavage ShockHmm. Maybe i need a body-stocking? Grin

heymetoo · 10/10/2013 10:31

Mumof3girlys · 10/10/2013 10:36

Salbertina I was 26 when I had mine done, 33 now I had nothing though!!!! Even with my first 2 prgancies nothing changed, didn't even have milk come in! Had implants year later had third child and don't sure what they disturbed but my god on day 4 I looked like Jordan! Was leaking everywhere for a couple of days!

Implants are a lot more common than you think, 70% of my friends have them...... Hmmm maybe that's because we are all vain and and go to get lengths to keep the bodies we had before children.

I personally have not heard any horror stories from anyone I know with them but it is major surgery and not a decision to be taken lightly xxx

Mumof3girlys · 10/10/2013 10:40

Also in reply to some of the comments yes if you have huge round implants then they do look fake, but if you get a good surgeon (mine refused to put anything to big in, he mostly does reconstructive for cancer patients) and implants that are in proportion to your size then they can look amazing!

Mine are a 32d and where they are not huge sticking out front, they are just round and full, people don't actually even know I have implants unless I tell them! X
