Coloured boots, yes or no?

I've always bought boots in neutral colours, black and brown mostly, but fancy some other colours.

I've been looking at Fly mes wedge boots that come in loads of colours. I really like purple!

Mad idea? Shall I stick to black?

I recommend fleecy insoles for boots & my converse in the winter, nice & cosy without feeling tight.

Made in Devon £2.50 & free delivery!

I went into Schuh today and they had the DM ones in stock. Lucky I tried them before buying online as I don't like them at all! I don't like the shape of the toe and they were just too clumpy looking. Really big round the calf too.

Think I'm going to get a Fly pair and hope they don't fall apart. I'm fairly light on shoes and won't be wearing them every day so they should be ok.

Now...red or purple..??

Red. Then purple.

I don't wear Doc Martens, but love my coloured ankle boots. Reiss are doing some gorgeous looking pewter ones and H&M are doing some nice looking burgundy ones. I also want leopard print boots. Aldo do lots of that sort of thing.

Get whichever colour you'll wear more.

Or simply buy them both to try (with the promise to yourself that you WILL NOT end up keeping them both)..I've accidentally done this, but they were bargains.Smile

LifeofPo that's weird. My Fly boots are indestructible. They are two years old and still look good even though I wear them and walk in them loads. Kept their shape and zips are fine. I'm rubbish with shoes too, because I walk so much. It's the Clarks boots that fall apart on me, not Fly.

I've had my Fly boots for 3 years now and they are still fine. I only wear them at weekends though through the winter so not everyday. Mine are a bit scuffed and are sort of a matt green so not sure how to clean them. Any ideas? I don't want to make them shiny

My tan mes are still going strong in their third year

My Fly boots lasted years with almost daily wearing. They did start leaking but I simply put some dubbin round the edges and no problems. They are very slim fitting, if you don't have skinny legs then DMs might be best.

How do Fly boots come up size wise? Big, small? I'm normally a 4/4.5 but wondering whether if I should get a 5..?
