Oil free Skincare Recs Please - Rosacea....

Hi,

Since rosacea set in my skin seems to get irritated and more inflammation from oil based cleansers and moisturisers. It has also become Oilier on my t-zone. Anyone have any recommendations for oil free skincare? I don't mind spending on the right products.

Everyone I've come across so far with rosacea seems to have dry skin.

Thanks.

I thought I had oily skin (with rosacea) but actually it is dry- the oil is the skin trying to stay hydrated. I use a moisturiser from Lidl as it is light and easily absorbed, but I have also used emollient cream to night to keep my skin soft.

I also use either boots BB cream or Aldi mineral powder to keep control of the flushing.

In the past I have used all different hints- I loved a rosewood cleanser I bought from Space NK (I think) but it cost a fortune! I found Liz Earle too drying, Origins and Clarins make me sting. I can use Clinique, they have a redness reducing collection which s quite good.

Oh thanks queenoflouisiana, that's helpful to know, so the skin is producing the oil to protect itself, interestingly it is only in the areas that I am prone to the rosacea.

I am the same, though Liz Earle brought me out in spots, clarins stuff has never really agreed with me, but I am currently using the clinique redness moisturiser. Not sure it helps with redness but at least it doesn't seem to irritate.

Saying that about clarins though I have taken a liking to their new mineral powder, it's oil free and although fairly highly scented doesn't seem to be bothering my skin yet

Try Clinique Superdefense, great as it also has SPF, essential for rosacea sufferers. Am currently using Estée Lauder Daywear, also SPF25. Have been trying the new Advanced Night Repair...so far so good.
