Space NK sell Dr Hauschka stuff RnB, it's very good

I also like the Weleda stuff from health food shops - pure ingredients and they do a rose day cream that is lovely

Has anybody tried moisturisers etc. by Dermalogica? I have quite spotty, acne scarred skin, (I am 33) and have a facial every 4/5 weeks. My facialist, (doesn't it sound posh!!!) is going to start doing a skin mapping thingy soon using dermalogica products and suggests I give it a go, and buy them to use at home - but I think it may be quite expensive. Do you know if it will be worth it - I am not one to waste money on fancy packaging?

Helenn - I use Demalogica stuff, it's fantastic! Pricey mind. The only things I (can afford to) buy are Active Moist moisturiser and Ultra Calming cleanser - both about £30 a bottle I get people to give me them as birthday presents etc and they last for yonks. The cleanser lasts about a year!

Helenn I am going to try dd(age 14) on dermalogica. You can get a trial bag for about £15 and it has mini ones of the whole range.

RnB Dr Hauska is in john lewis too. Just on the shelves , not a special counter

M&S for me - sensitive/dry skin. About 4 quid and the best I've tried (have tried the clarins, clinique stuff etc)

Vitamin E is only put into face creams to stop them going rancid!

pickle100 · 28/06/2006 20:02

Helenn, I had the same problem with my skin and in all honesty after using practically every other product range under the sun the only ones that have worked are Dermologica. I also use Ultra calming cleanser and active moist and they are fab.

Forgot to say but what I have done is after getting recommendations from Skin mapping thing was to buy over the internet -www.courtyardclinic.co.uk - which is a bit cheaper than from the salon.

womblingalong · 29/06/2006 12:16

If you want cheap Dermalogica over the net, try Beautyflash.co.uk, they have a price promise that you can't buy it cheaper anywhere else, and they are about 20% cheaper than the normal price and sometimes have special offers too. They also have an online facialist who can give advice and product recommendatiosn for specific skin conditions. I have very sensitive schitzo skin, and this is the only thing I've found that works consistently

Just try a standard pot of E45 cream for a few days. I think it's really good, and I used to be a dyed-in-the-wool Estee lauder user before kids and penuary.

Helennn · 01/07/2006 12:44

thanks all for replying re Dermalogica - haven't been on here for a few days. I will definitely give it a try as skin looks like an advert for Clearasil, (before they use the cream)!!!! Thanks for advice also re doing the skin mapping thing then buying on-line to save money. Will report back on results.

I just use Palmers cocoa butter on my face. The skin cream in lidls turned my face into a stinging beetroot. So i wont be buying that again. I got a nivea one before and it was too rich for my skin as it brought me out in spots.
