Is there such a thing as light-reflective long-lasting foundation?

Preferably oil-free.

I use ELDW light, (colour suits me surprisingly well, pretty horrible in straight out of the tube), great staying power and all of that, but I find it has started breaking up a bit as the day goes on, and looks a bit cakey and flaky.

So, I reckon if my foundation had some light-reflective properties, it might reduce that look. The long lasting part is because a have an oily T-zone and I find foundation slides off my T-zone.

TIA.

I was having the same problem with ELDW and have just started using Milk of Magnesia as a primer underneath after Neutrogena oil free moisturiser. I agree both DW and DW light can look a bit flat on their own so I use a powder highlighter on my cheeks, lightly on my nose and my forehead. This is great

I've never found a light reflective foundation that stays on my oily areas. Hopefully someone else will be along to offer an alternative.

I don't think it exists.

Either you have the long wearing stuff with the texture of pva glue which looks dull, or you get the dewiness of a light reflecting foundation which you may have to apply to your nose and chin at lunchtime.

I go for the second option, and wear city block underneath which acts as a primer.

That's interesting re milk of magnesia. It only costs something like a quid doesn't it so I will give it a go.

I have oily skin so need long lasting but hate flat look.
After many purchases of foundation im now using Rimmel primer underneath either
YSL you he eclat foundation
Or Benefit Oxygen Wow foundation
Both seem to last most of day, particularly if I use powder on T zone

Thanks all. Milk of magnesia??? Wow. Will def give it a go. Cheap as chips too. The Soap and Glory stuff also worth a try, never thought of an illuminating powder on top.
Tried the Touché Éclat. Slid off my face in no time. It was sold as a wonder product. Hmm Not so much for me.
Haven't tried the Benefit one. Will try it if I get a sample. I am truly fed up of shelling out fortunes on my everlasting search for the perfect everlasting light reflective foundation.

I use the Smashbox oil free primer atm. Is the Rimmel one oil free?

Wouldn't you think in 2013 they'd have invented a luminous foundation for greasies?

I use ELDW light, a mattifying powder, then brush an illuminating mineral finishing powder on top - I use LilyLolo.

It's never going to look totally invisible and glowy but it's not bad.

Another vote for YSL Touché Éclat foundation. I use the YSL primer too, but I'm sure you could use another brand. Smashbox Photo Finish gets good reviews.

Thanks everyone. Seems I need to make a choice, reapply during the day, or long lasting and illuminating powder.

And so the quest continues.....

Chanel aqualumier. Expensive but lasts forever. I don't looked caked in make up but it provides coverage almost all day. Debenhams and boots usually give samples. It feels a bit oily when going on but that doesn't last and I have oily skin.

I longed to try vitalumiere but all the colours are very yellow. I am very pale albeit pink toned and couldn't find a colour match for Chanel.

I really recommend Lancôme, their photogenic luminescence is very good, as is their teint visionnaire. The have also got a 24 hour foundation called teint idole. I have no idea if that would have the cement effect like Double Wear but i really rate Lancôme for their textures of foundation, so it ,git the worth having the, put some on you to see the effect.

I know this sounds like a deranged idea, bit would it be worth putting the double wear to whatever on your t zone and then a different light reflecting foundation on your cheeks and the rest of your face? That might the easiest solution to the problem.
