Just that really. Does anyone use it? Recommend it? What skin problems does it solve and would it stop me from looking chronically knackered and dull?

I used it for 6 months this year to get rid of pigmentation and try to jump start skin into looking better... after a few days of looking awful with peeling skin, it did look good - but not sure worth the £600 it cost... am just coming to end of it now and going to see how bad the decline is without it to see if I review that thought!

Sorry for the delayed response, chickenpox (DC not me) Grin

Was it prescribed by a derm?

Yes, prescription only. It got rid of my pigmentation (nothing off the shelf will do this, despite the claims) but it's pretty hard core. Redness and peeling for a good few weeks before the magic starts to happen!

Hm. I may need to start saving my pennies, then. Thanks!

Leaving aside hyper-pigmentation (which it does help), the Retin A (called Tretinoin in the Obagi line) will help to smooth the skin through a process of chemical exfoliation. There are a couple of short articles by Christa D'Souza on the GettheGloss.com website which give a good summary of what you will experience here and here.

Nothing will treat pigmentation like Obagi!

CarolBornAMan · 08/10/2013 16:32

have to say I am a bit meh about the pigmentation claims as mine seems to come back when I stop using it .. I do think it made my skin brighter though - the peel really is the deal!

Love2Dance · 09/10/2013 10:31

I agree with you CarolBornAMan. Helped but didn't get rid of hyperpigmentation. I've been advised against laser treatment so I'll just have to live with it. Did yours come back in its entirety or just a bit?

topsi · 09/10/2013 18:43

it will come back when you stop using, you need to go on a maintenance program

CarolBornAMan · 14/10/2013 19:44

mine has come back totally -maybe need to think about maintenance programme - not sure what that is as my derm never told me about it! Topsi- can you advise what it is? THANKS!

I use their factor 50 sunscreen when it's sunny as it's non-comedogenic and doesn't leave skin looking oily. It's good stuff. Not cheap though.
