What products have you tried that actually make a noticeable difference?

I have been using Bodyshop Rainforest shampoo for a few weeks now and I can really see the difference in my hair! My hair is dry, wavy/ curly and prone to frizz. It's now much softer, shinier and less frizzy. Yay! ( thinks its cos its sulphate free)

I read about it on another thread here and wanted not only to pass it on but also to see what other gems Mumsnetters have...?

Revitalash. About 6 weeks ago my lashes were short & stubby after lash extension removal. They are now back to normal. They feel thicker, longer & the corners are starting to curl. I'm very impressed.

Trilogy rose hip oil.

Fantastic stuff for my dry sensitive skin. Also eased redness in cheeks and reduced pores. Got rid of flaky patches and those tiny bumps on my forehead. My desert island product definitely!

Also avene hand cream best I've ever used. That's the French brand in white and peach packaging (ie not aveeno).

poppy what do you do with the coconut oil? Have noticed it appearing on shelves but not sure what it is for?

Ever Sleek shampoo/conditioner,sulphate free.
Rimmel primer.
YSL Touche Éclat foundation makes my skin look wonderful,as does Benefit Oxygen Wow foundation.Both require primer though to make them last.
Babyliss big hair,smaller barrel .My hair bra strap length but prefer this one.

I read on MN you're meant to use Organic, Raw coconut, not entirely sure why, but it's very good value for money so I bought this massive tub

I use it after the shower as a moisturiser, as a hair mask once a week or fortnight, as a frizz tamer when the hair is dry, in the toddler's bath once a month (I can't tell you how ridiculously soft her skin and hair are for days after). It's brilliant for toddlers, because it's edible so quite safe.

I have the driest skin and hair in the world and even rich oils like Elemis or REN Moroccan Rose would disappear without a trace of moisture after a few hours; but this has worked wonders for me.

Hmmm, I have shocking dry skin too, really bad on calves and upper arms, chicken type skin iykwim, bleurgh. Must try the coconut oil.

Am searching for a dry skin facial moisturiser, what are you using poppy? I'm using trilogy ultra cream at mo which is not bad but not fantastic. Budget an issue alas or I'd totally try creme de la mer!

wilting I'm sad to report that creme de la mer didn't work for me - it made my skin strangely greasy (for the first time ever) but with dry patches

And I have no allergies/eczema, just very dry skin!

I tend to use oil or serums under moisturiser; at the moment I'm using this one and this, which is cheap as chips

With Triology, do you feel your face is still moisturised by the end of the day?

Jemima yes, just a little scoop under water while the bath runs. I tried it twice a week but it was making DD's hair a bit greasy, so we switched to once a month.

La Roche Posay(purchased on the advice of this board) every time, my dry sensitive skin is reborn.

It feels soft and looks better and not expensive.

Body Shop Hemp hand cream (and I have tried loads), and also hemp face protector cream - or any cycling in wind/winter makes me look like I've got sunburn

Babyliss big hair is pretty good but I cant think of anything else which has surprised or wowed me.
I like coconut oil for skin but dont find it any better than olive oil.
I've tried expensive moisturisers but my fave is Lush skin drink

Not really poppy, especially during the winter. Hence the search for a new moituriser! I'm looking at the Caudalie stuff maybe but not sure. MakeUpAlley seems to give the brand a thumbs up.

I know la roche posay vintage but trying to pick a product from their endless white boxes with french titles drives me a bit batty! Which one do you use? Sorry to be so nosey!

I'm really liking the L'Oreal Eversleek range. And their Skin Perfection Micellar water is cheap as chips in boots at the moment.

I'm also using Pixi Glow Tonic and Timeless Treat serum and liking them.

Oh, and another vote for Clinique All About Eyes.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo on spots, however I only use topically and at night under a facial oil as I find it can be way too harsh on my sensitive skin. Get rid of any breakouts fast.

La Roche Posay Hydraphase UV Riche. My favourite ever day cream, no mineral oil, stops any dryness and offers UVA and UVB sun protection.

Essie Fill The Gap base coat/treatment has really improved condition of my nails after they were weak and splitting from years of gels.

Burts Bees Coconut Foot Creme

Clarins gentle exfoliator brightening toner

Can't do links from this phone Yellow, but if you literally google the phrase and if you're in the UK, add that, I examples of them should come up. I'm not sure what natural material they're made of but they are the colour of straw and are really easy to use. Mine sort of looks like a big hairbrush. I dry body brush every other day, always in the direction towards the heart is the technique I was told. Backs of arms, elbows, knees, backs of legs, buttocks really benefit and it feels great! Been using one for 10 years now and my skin is so soft, basically because it removes dead skin cells. I try to moisturise after, but if I don't have time, I'll do that later, but it's not critical.
I don't go in for fake tanning but anyone who does will find this kind of exfoliation really good before getting the tan done.
It wakes me up in the morning but is relaxing if I do it at night - weird!!

I bought some Forever Flawless products and the Vitamin c face serum is lovely (smells gorgeous) and the eye serum is pretty good too.

I need some new stuff so reading this with interest. Can anyone recommend hair products for post pregnancy flat/thin/fine hair? It's really limp and lank atm :(

Mrskoala, try spatone liquid iron supplements to nourish from the inside first. Pantene age defy products are getting good reviews but haven't tried them myself yet. Bastise xl dry shampoo gives huge volume (it makes yr hair feel like straw but washes out, so only temporary effect).

Same as someone above - Clinique all about eyes. I notice a difference whenever I try to use a cheaper product. Always end up going back to this.

And the new Pantene 7-something or other shampoo, conditioner and esp intensive conditioner. Seems to make my hair really shiny.

Crest white strips. Huge difference to coffee stained enamel, zero issues with sensitivity (thank you MN!)
Vaseline. On heels, better and cheaper than flexitol ime
La Roche posay, various over the years (MN credit again...), currently love their bb cream, suits my skin tone
Lancôme dreamtone. Only used since released end of August but am convinced. Eve only, has faded hyper pigmentation.

And decent running trainers....feel fitter, feel better.
