What's your toddler dd wearing on her feet this winter?

Dd (2.5yo) has cheap Velcro plimsoles but they are starting to fall apart after a summer of hard wear and aren't really suitable any more.
I don't want to get her a ballet pump with an ankle strap type job from Clarks as they're not suitable for cold or wet weather and a toddler who can find a puddle with her eyes shut.

Can you show me what you've got/ getting? :)

I would say re.snowboots, they are lovely and warm but lots aren't as waterproof as they should be, and obviously you can't really tell when you buy them. That's why I prefer Wellies, and on a really cold and snowy day just layer lots of socks. Might also get some lambs wool insoles which I can move between dds boots and her Wellies.

The Aldi snow boots are definitely waterproof. And fleece lined. Might get myself some, too if they do them again.

Rain boots/wellies should never be worm in snow or minus degrees. They do not insulate against cold.

You would really need proper water proof snow boots if you expect moderate or severe cold.

Forgot to add that its best to buy winter gear that is made for people who live in countries that have cold winters.

UK winters, even at their worst are like a summer day compared to what I grew up with!

Beautiful lined leather boots from Livie and Luca because if I have to spend nearly £40 on toddler boots they are going to be beautiful .

Will also be getting her wellies in a size up and very thick fleece-type welly socks - waterproof and warm.

I'd really recommend Gumbies Gumboots. My DS lived in them last Autumn/Winter when he was 2.5 and I have bought another pair for this year.

They are fairly unattractive, but are waterproof, warm and stand up to puddle jumping, leaf kicking, snowman building, scooting through mud and whatever else your toddler might enjoy in the colder months!

I now new to find a startright stockist so I can get an idea of what size she needs - Clarks are all we have in town here.

Will look into snow boots too - especially as a friend said we are due snow here in E Mids before the end of October!

Dd wore emu boots last winter. She said her feet were lovely and warm.

Would second wellies in the snow and severe cold, they're just not warm enough. Even with wool socks. I have 4 dc and I have learnt my lesson now! Does anyone know when roughly the Aldi snowboots are out?
Someone mentioned the John Lewis Isobel boots, how warm are they and is the leather stiff? They look pretty sturdy and a good price for school shoes in the winter.

skoda are the Bobux water resistant (ish)? I love the look of them and fact that they are lined but worry that they would get trashed in one outing.

DD is currently wearing some red ones I bought for DS but he only wore three times, before he grew out of them. They are getting a bit tight, will be replaced with more Kickers.

Snowlie, I bought those ricosta boots for dd last year. They were really warm but she totally trashed them. And I did use protective spray and clean them a lot! Don't think I would buy again.

I always buy Ricosta. When they were small we used to get the gortex lined boots....I still buy them Ricosta for school, I must have bought my kids 20 pairs and I've been happy with them all, accessorize I think you have been v unlucky for them to let you down. We've had bad experiences with a couple of pairs of start rite and I would never buy their shoes again but yet they have a loyal following!

To be fair I have got other ricosta shoes and they've been fine, but these are suede and just didn't cope with the thrashing from my 4 yo!
