Tights for my DD - where to look , where to avoid ?

My DD is 11 yo, about 5'2" and a size 6 .

She hasn't worn tights for the past couple of years but now she's in Yr7 it's short socks or tights (none of the long socks she liked before)

She gets annoyed with tights that have a gusset round your knees and ones that fall down .

Soooooo. I want to get her some good quality ladies tights in black.

No idea what denier to go for though (she doesn;t want thick ones but I don't want them snagging when she has worn them a day)

I don't wear tights, so I'm no help (Well maybe once a year I'll buy a pair of highly impractical 7 denier .....)

TIA

Wolford 80 denier. They are amazing, wash well, fit brilliantly and are great quality. However, they are pricey (£21) well worth it IMO.

Sainsburys for 40 or 60 denier. They are something like £4 a pack and they don't fall down they wash well too.

£21 Shock .
I'd need 3-5 pairs and trouble is my DD grows like a weed Grin

However, they could be on my Christmas list........

Sainsburys do a modal pair (I can't remember exactly but IIRC £6-8 a pair)
Have you tried them?

Sainsburys are the best affordable option. I have not tried the Modal range, but all the others I have tried have been good.
IMO tights falling down is usually due to them being too small not too big, I used to have this problem until I sized up.

H&M tights are really good. They don't shrink in the wash - but I never put them in the tumble dryer, just in case.

Falke are good quality, and about half the price of Wolford. They do children's sizes and adults in thick tights. I buy them for my dds and they do last really well.
