Should I buy? I want it, but it's so ridiculously expensive Confused and I'd probably feel a bit of a wastrel... I could wear it for years though! Wondering if anyone has experience of Superdry, I have never bought anything there as I always think of it as a bit pretentious and for teens.

Do you promise to wear it every winter for the next 10 years? Hmm
If so, it's a bargain at £25 per year Grin

KatoPotato · 16/09/2013 17:05

Well, you've mad me want one now!

I've got a few t-shirts and hoodies, and the wind bomber which is very practical and still looks brand new!

Beeyump · 16/09/2013 19:19

Haha LadyMud I always try and think of expensive purchases that way! (Not that there are many.)
It just looks so perfect! But I don't like the idea of showing the superdry logo for some reason, meh.

That's good to know Kato , about it still looking new I mean. Bodes well.

I've got their hoodies, shirts and tees and all are great quality, no issues with anything

finlaysmum12 · 16/09/2013 21:20

bloody hell, that's lush. surely theres something less pricey but still lovely about? love the pattern on the fabric.

Bluestocking · 16/09/2013 21:33

It looks very nicely made, and the Superdry logo seems to be only under the collar, so wouldn't usually be visible. I do wonder if the cut might be a bit skimpy, though. Have you tried it on?

libertychick · 16/09/2013 21:50

I love the look of this coat - I didn't try it on though - what put me off was that it looks very fitted and I'm not sure it would be possible to wear more than a thin layer underneath which makes it impractical for winter. It has had some rave reviews though and is a classic style - perfect if your usual look is trousers or jeans with a shirt or slim fit sweater underneath.

Beeyump · 16/09/2013 22:47

Not tried it on yet. I attempted to find it in an Edinburgh branch today but 'it isn't in yet.' Cue gnashing of teeth from me.

I tend to wear a lot of skirts and dresses with opaque tights, and just wonder what it would look like with a different hem length underneath. Confused libertychick I am very swayed by reviews!

Beeyump one of the Times fashion writers raved about it in the Saturday Times mag a couple of weeks ago - she had me convinced I must buy it Grin - after hours studying it on line I decided against for reasons in previous post.

libertychick · 16/09/2013 22:53

BTW - just seen you are in Edinburgh - my brother lived there for about 10 years and I almost wept with the cold every single visit - surely you need something quilted or are you one of those extra tough Scottish lasses?? Smile

Beeyump · 16/09/2013 22:54

Yes! It was Hilary Rose who started me off on this! She said something about feeling happy and together when she put it on. I'm so easily persuaded, glad you were too. (For a bit anyway!)

Haha, well it was certainly a little nippy today. I'll just wear big scarves and boots, tough it out! I'm not good with quilting Grin

I reckon she increased the share price in Superdry with that article - it's amazing I didn't buy it immediately!

libertychick · 16/09/2013 22:56

Respect Grin
