Stylish nursing tops and dresses...do they exist?!

Am I missing something on this front?! Everywhere I look it seems to be tops with little bolero-style cardigan layers that knot in front, which are not to my taste at all.

I quite like the look of the Jojo Maman Bebe Breton stripe tops and dresses, but their wrap tops don't look like a very good fit.

I've had a nice "essential nursing dress' from Mamas and Papas, and some nursing vests from there, but other than that, I'm stumped!

I've also looked at Seraphine (too Kate Middleton) and Isabella Oliver (to much stretchy wrappiness, and too dear), to no avail.

Colline/Vertbaudet have a couple of nice dresses, but none in stock in my size.

Mothercare seems OK for nursing bras and basics, but not for anything interesting that I want to wear out of the house (ooh, so picky!).

Where is everyone else getting their stylish nursing wear from? Or are they not?!...is there no such thing??

I'm on my phone so can't link, but there's a company called either milk and mummy, or mummy and milk. I did get a nice dress from there, but generally I favour the one-up-one-down approach - usually a vest with a clip thing at the strap underneath a shirt.

I bought a whole lot of strappy vest tops (with slightly thicker straps) in all sorts of colours then my Mum turned them into nursing tops by cutting lose the straps and sewing velcro onto them. I now just wear those underneath anything with buttons or is open or sometimes even under things I can pull up.

The issues is that most 'nursing' clothes still have extra room for your bump, but if you've had your baby a little while you don't need that anymore.

Thanks very much both.

Verge ties that site has some really nice tops, although not cheap, but I suppose we're air of a desperate market!

Mermaid that's a very good call re Velcro, thank you.

There's a good website called Boob Design. I did the same as mermaid, lots of shirts & cardis with vest tops.

There is a site called babes with babies - dire name but very nice clothes if a bit pricey.
H&M for basic tops.
Do top shop do anything - their maternity wear is good but can't remember if they do nursing wear.

I found the same, everything is frumpy or mumsy and not a design I would have worn otherwise. I bought two plain white nursing tops both from Boob I think. One a plain round neck, shirt sleeved T. The other a long sleeved, v neck top. Didn't find either particularly comfortable for feeding. Actually I also had a feeding vest that I found useful in the very early days when I was v engorged and mostly in bed. But once I started trying to wear it with a feeding bra it was just too many bits to undo and do up again.

So in the end I lived in stretchy, strappy vest tops from h&m with a top, or jumper on top. I would just pull the top up and the vest down a bit. Was quick, easy, comfortable and also the vest top hid my stomach when feeding in public. It is a bit restrictive in that it doesn't work for dresses - although I did do it a few times with a jumper dress over leggings.

There is a serious gap in the market.

I have a good nightie and a warm nursing hoodie from Boob which are very good. Was given them second hand and am after some more for Christmas.

I HATE the stupid bolero type dresses. They make me look splodgy and frumpy.

The JoJo Breton dress is excellent and I have been living in it this summer.

Mamalicious is also worth a look.

I didn't buy one nursing top, just bought button down tops or pulled stretchy tops down with no problems. Vests with cards combos were good.
